My brother has 1 and really veeerrry fast & no lagging.
He doesn't suffer from wat u suffer!!!!
everything is working with him perfectly.
i think better to check your devise probably it is defected .

I had exact same problems with his phone lags and shuts off automatically during conversations or mine did reset by itself sometimes. same you had HTC desire and sold bought Galaxy which i had no problem with HTC. So, i had to sell the Galaxy last week and buy the HTC Desire again. I have no problem with desire and is upgraded already from HTC to OS 2.2.
On other hand had problem feeling holding to cheap plastic and also in noisy environment calling other side could not hear me well. I think never buy Samsung again, I tried many different models such as Wave, Galaxy, Omnia and so on all had some kind of problem as I was experimenting with Nokia for last few years until switch to BB, iPhone and now owen HTC Desire too.

U have written the use of vooodo v3 fix, what is that and using that wont it void the warrenty of the phone. There is OCLF (one click lag fix) of Ryans on android market also but i havent used it as wanted for some official solution. please guide

Until then you can use any of the improved eclair ROM and forget about any of the issues with the sgs. I currently am using Indian ROM jg4 (i.e. my stock as well) with the voodoo v3 fix on top of it. And believe me it was never this snappier. It's now flying. Lovin it... !

I think your being a little harsh here! SGS is a great device indeed with great features, I think it's better than the X10 and the desire. However, after Froyo the device is a mess and I'm really disappointed with the overall performance. I was always worried from samsung's support before I purchased this cellphone, and I'm right, because now the device is buggy and slow and samsung will never bother to fix it! Honestly, I'm angry now.

purchase of this device has been the biggest disappointment for me. this unit lags and shuts off automatically during conversations. i had htc desire worked perfectly. its pathetic that even with FROYO 2.2 it has these bugs (perhaps this is one for those who can hack it and make it work the way it was intended from factory). i bought it unlocked and am using on ATT in the USA. if anyone wants it i will give it away for $400.

Is it available in LI... moreno its not avail in kies for india but i used official rom from other country...
s sure 10.xxx flash support but not smooth with live streaming so i used a fix from galaxy tab system file to run smooth now am watching live neo sports cricket match and to use the fix u must root device..
browsing is faster than eclair and i tested some gprs downloads than wifi but its good and faster than eclair
and no more black screen issues now ui has pinch zoom now easy to use....

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2010SAMSUNG has had lots of laurels & praises for this phon... moreif you want a slide keyboard (why on earth you would want this, such horrible tiny keys) and you for some reason need a flash on the camera, their are many variants of this phone that have these features, the original design the glaxy s itself is a wonderful phone
