Froyo hasnt reached india bt other countries it has reached has any1 tried modifyin the reg..........here is method how to change the reg for offical froyo ':::
so i am in australia and ofcoarse there is no upgrade to froyo.
so ...reg hack... updated via kies and yes am on froyo now!

remember..mod ur registry only whilst your device has been detected by kies.
if you need to plug your phone out..u plug it in again and again mod ur registry.
note it took a good 4 to 5 mins for the phone to load...

I was using a HTC desiresince may 10and was very happy with the overall performance, it was blazing fast good features and after the froyo update back in end july it was an even marvellous machine. the things that i didnt like about it was no divx support even though word was that they will add this with froyo update, limited memory and after installing 10-12 apps it was running out of memeory and battery life was terrible.
Come september and i was due an upgrade and the choice was iphone 4 or a galaxy s... after alot of thinking and ahving used android before i settled for the galaxy.... but what a disappointing experience it has been. the phone is slow as hell, sometime while opening apps it laggs for ages and feels like a 50 pound handset, well some might still be faster than this...froyo was promised at the end of september now thats pushed till the end of october. Gps was another nightmare, as i decided to relying on it and it wouldnt just get a fix and i had to manouver my way around by constantly calling people and asking for directions. i like the overall look and feel of the phone, screen is brilliant but samsung seriously needs to fix the lagg and other although minor issues but considering the price and hype and the numbers sold a critical fix or else atleast i wont consider a samsung just by word of mouth

T8jjx, 15 Oct 2010I have tried everything to get my sgs connected to kies and... moreHi simple unplug phone go to top left of kies drop down box click driver recovery let that load then plug phone back in make sure phone is in kies mode and that USB debugging is turned off.

paul, 15 Oct 2010It was £14.99 English from Amazon.Co.uk not euro's ob... mores reset the battery stats and tell us the if it is good for heavy usage bec am heavy user.... i dont find these battery here must find on ebay....

I have tried everything to get my sgs connected to kies and its just not happening. says connecting for the next two years.
Can somebody please help, where can i get the drivers from? your help will be much appreciated. thanx

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2010But 15 € is cheap were as samsung orginal battery cost 25€....It was £14.99 English from Amazon.Co.uk not euro's obviously I've got to set the battery up first and I'm going to reset battery stats which is best to do when you flash a new rom but I didnt. Still on %52 been using since midday yesterday and all evening at work all morning with everything turned on and the brightness on full.

The only thing that doesn`t make Galaxy S the perfect phone is no-flash and the baterry that i hope will be better with the 2.2 update

All of you say that samsung sucks,but at gsmarena in top by rate are 1.samsung wawe 2.samsung galaxy s and 3.samsung omnia hd ...it`s your top !!! 1,2,3 samsung.The people that say samsung sucks i think that they work at nokia :) frustraiting ! I work at orange and i tell you, Galaxy s better than Iphone 4 =>the best phone ever

but i paid advance for the battery in service center before 2 weeks but now they saying out of stock and needs another 2 weeks its really shame on samsung...

The guys are right, Samsung is still a terrible, dreadful, company. No matter if the Galaxy S is passable, Samsung sucks.
