I9000XWJM8 voodoolag fix has bricked my phone u cant uninstall it if this thing could fix the lags with no side affects why dident samsung tookit out ther selfs my phone has lost its waranty with this lag fixer be aware install at ur own risk, pls dont (voodoo lag fix) remember not to install just wait for 2.2 updates it will fix lags

paul, 27 Sep 2010if you clear the cache every few days it wont lag on the in... moreI did that a couple of times...i can't say it lags al the time but ... we all want to have the perfect phone even if that's not possible ....every function of the phone to work with the precision of a swiss watch... I hope Samsung will provide support for this even after the 2.2 update and not repeat mistakes from the past...

paul, 27 Sep 2010if you clear the cache every few days it wont lag on the in... morepaul, i tried every method to root the damn phone and have no fing luck with this damn thing. i m surpised as to what i am doing wrong. i would like to go on your youtube page or any other place you have info to do such. i downloaded the file directly on the phone update.zip>held three buttons>update.zip and gives error. wtf am i doing worng? i m not that dumb! i m really looking for some help. I m in the USA and use ATT. i bought this phone from a retailer in NY and is unlocked. all i m trying to do is lag fix. Thanks.

Truly exceptio... moreHi mate the reason the phone hangs is because the beta version of froyo you have isn't optimized for the phone yet, if you dont mind losing flash support for now install I9000XWJM8 and use the update.zip method of rooting and installing the lag fix.
Be very careful when messing with your phone read all instructions very carefully your phone will stop hanging also try using launcher pro instead of the samsung app drawer and also change the lock screen from the samsung glass one to the proper android one it is so much better.

The superamoled display is truly exceptional it's a huge difference compared to tft. The weak point is under direct sunlight where the display is not so good. Video recording is ...what can i say .,hd awesome. About web it's fast blazing fast but it sometimes lags, not so often but enought to annoy you but that since it's relatively knew on the market i'm sure updates will be released to fix this. Buy it, it's worth it!

manish, 27 Sep 2010the very first thing i want to say and that is THANKS PAUL ... moreWell the galaxy out of the box does tend to lag due to the samsung touch flo which runs over android and effects the phone where as htc has sense ui. But if you install the latest firmware on the galaxy and remove certain things plus add the lag fix the phone is awesome.
Normally when you restart the phone it runs the media scanner that can take ages if your cards are full you can turn this off but if you add anything new you have to run media scanner manually and may actually forget to do this and wonder where your files are. If you do the lag fix the media scanner takes about 10secs and i have 13gb on my internal and 12gb of data on my external card so this is truely allot faster.
The good thing about the galaxies browser is the fact that the sentence's all realign themselves if you zoom in automatically so you only need to scroll up and down to read an article not right and left like on the samsung wave.
The galaxy has flash lite 3.1 so can play flash content on most sites but some site require flash v9 or above. The screen is very good for typing and swype is very good but i use better keyboard from the market which is very very good and never makes mistakes, that is what im using now on my galaxy.

I am using N82 for more than a year and now it's time to upgrade and that is the reason i want to spend my money on a good phone.
I am being using Nokia for years but nowadays nokia is not producing phones with great hardware (processor + RAM) so i want to look at some other brands.
I am a heavy user of internet over phone. so i will prefer this only. qwerty keyboard is another things that can be compromise by the SWYPE.
N900 is good but is has only 3.5" screen + shit nokia has put resistive touch and + no multi touch in n900. so it's not worth for money even it's not a future phone.
I have heard Galaxy and droid is great.
can you please elaborate the problems that generally users face in galaxy s!!
i do not need too much of applications. i just need good internet surfing without any crash or freeze.

manish, 27 Sep 2010paul i need you help. as u are much aware about this phone ... moreIt depends if you want a keyboard, full flash support and good screen the galaxy is a very good phone the screen is big but you would have too install a beta version of froyo to get full 10.1 flash support until the official one comes out. The Nokia n900 is very good for the internet very fast with flash support and keyboard but the os isn't great for apps and other software like android. I'm not sure about the Droid as that is one phone I've never had but i think it has Froyo so full flash support too not sure what class the internet is on that i know the nokias is very good.
Also find out if using wifi what router you have the galaxy can use any type but Nokia and the Droid can only use the normal two types i think.

I bought this phone from india. When i came to saudi i noticed that it does not give me how much a call cost me and the balance in my account though I remember that on the first day I was getting this information. Secondly it is very slow in downloading my msn messages. The nokia e71 which i had earlier was faster. What could be the reason for this problem. Can anyone help. Thx.

Hello everybody! I just bought my Galaxy S . Truly exceptional phone, the display, it's spead, the video recording are wonderfull. Still there are some issues... The phone was flashed with a 2.2 ROM so now i have flash support for the browser. But still the phone hangs ,it happend in a couple of occasions. What do i have to do? Should i wait for the official version of 2.2 that will be released by Samsung? Will that solve this problem? And in case that the official update is not going to be released in all countries as was the case with omnia? Also with the update the Galaxy will be able to use the 512RAM? Thank you.
