My eldest son who is studying Aerospace engineering in one of the UK University is using an I-Phone 4. My youngest son owns HTC Legend and me, presently a Samsung Galaxy S. All these phones are nice in one way or another.
By the way,I am a Srilankan but live in Leeds, Yorkshire. I have been to Sheffield once or twice but am not that familiar with the Geographical lay out of that area.

DOES THIS PHONE WORKS ON AT&T 3G NETWORK?
Hello,
i have asked this question about a week ago and noOne answered to it... i am interested into purchasing this phone but when i went on the web site to get it, there is a note that states that this phone doesn't work with 3G in the US & Canada.
Does anyone that has AT&T know if this Phone works with AT&T 3G Network?
The reason why i am changing the Phone is because i need a 3G Phone... and please don't tell me to get the Samsung Captivate because AT&T locked it down in a ridiculous way that ruins the essence of Android that is supposed to be free

Hii there...can any one guide me to how to run applications that i have downloaded from kies coz on selecting transfer to phone option it says nor supported... and for these applications only samsung wave listed..... if its not foe me than where from i download application and games for Galaxy S and how to install them...

the froyo is ready for european countrys to be released on 23 but for ppl in asia will get later after some months may be 3 r 4 months whatever india gona delay for sure so once the europe version releases am gona hav a try....

Hi,
I've read on a few forums that the Galaxy S keeps switching off on its own (without the battery dying out), particularly in low reception areas. The complaints were mostly from Bell users in the USA.
I'd like to know if anyone from other countries has been facing similar problems, particularly in India.
If so, is the Phone replaced or is the problem deemed 'non-existent' by the Vendors or Samsung(as in the case of the Bell users).

I like the phone and the OS, but my problem is the battery life. I cannot get through a day without if dying, and I've disabled anything that I could find that is using the battery... I think the iPhone has much better battery life, unless my new Samsung GS has a defective battery...

S.Sri, 15 Sep 2010Galaxy S has a 4” Super Amoled display of WVGA resolution ... moreOh fair enough. I think the theme of the galaxy menu might be plating tricks on me a bit though haha. I find the retina display to be brighter and sharper but my galaxy contrast seem higher (better). The pixel density of galaxy is a bit rubbish because the resolution seem low for a screen this big. Not too bad I guess. Atleast it's more efficient and good enough for me. Do you use an iPhone on a regular basis? Just wondering.
And where do you live? And yeh I know. I've done business management at sheffiled university if you know where it's at. I know them well. Very friendly but you do get the occasional idiot.
