And galaxy s has a little bigger screen but with low resolution and pentile matrix screen(search internet if you don't know what that means) which makes the picture worse compared to iPhone 4 and that makes the galaxy look less detailed and not so sharp picture and the colors look too saturated. So you get a better experience if you look on movies with iPhone 4 actually.

its not about resolution understand that.....
U can get 4 gb 1080p and 720p but 4gb 720p has more bitrate than 1080p so even if the resolution is lesser the definition(details) is higher........if u havnt understood this try different rips(2gb avatar of 720p,4gb avatar of 720p and 4 gb avatar of 1080p) of same movie.....i hope u will understand.........

And the only phones with backlight illuminated sensor is iPhone 4 and HTC Evo 4G so that means that your just another uninformed fanboy.

it was released at beginning of jan 2007, it didnt have video recording wen nokia 6600 had it 4 years back or even w200i had it during same release date,it hasnt or wont support java or it hadnt had any flash wen nokia/sony had it years ago,it neither had infrared(accepted people dont use it now).Touchscreen was also available,what they did was they put 4-16gb memory+flashy look+nothing else.....
People were lured in2 nothing but still they claim it was everything.
Samsung has risen and these people cant accept the change

shiva , 28 Aug 2010Hoo boys i agree the display of i phone is clear and crisp ... moreit has a better gpu but that does not mean it runs smoother. iPhone games runs smoother because the games are optimized for the phone just look at "Rage" for iPhone 4 search youtube. And if galaxy s has better processor then why is iPhone smoother and the answer is same the iPhone OS is more optimized also in processor.

Led flash is joke in mobile phone. this phone will take better picture than iphone 4 in low light condition. There is advance function like night shot and indoor shot which takes better picture. Xenon is only needed if you take picture in total darkness. Most of the time there is always some light which is enough for galaxy to take a good picture. If you iphone 4 fan thinks it takes better pic compere with your frens galaxy. Don't bull shit what you have not experience.

then if u come to gpu galaxy has latest sgx 540 which is latest and 2 times powerful than sgx 530 which apple uses in iphone 4 same used in iphone 3gs..... If u don't believe this check out the videos in you tube and if any of the phone reaches more 55 frame rate in gpu benchmark test i get u free i phone 4 k
then next is processor apple has a4 and galaxy has a8 which is latest.... Then it supports flash player 10 which supports 30.ps frame live videos which apple can do only at 15 and v8 java script engine makes 3 times faster than apple
so apple users get away from hear...

I had SGS on trial for 10 days via o2 in London. I sent it back and bought an iPhone 4. If anyone wonders if the SGS is better than the iPhone 4 - it is not. Not even close. The iPhone 4 is so much worth the extra money it's not funny. Incidentally, the SGS drops calls like the iPhone 4 never did.
Apple were literally years ahead of the game when they released first iPhone and it still shows.
If anyone thinks the SGS and all that goes with it is better than an iPhone 4 (or 3gs) then they need to have their head examined. Simples.
