Hi I got to use this phone as one of my friend had recently bought it. I am fanof iPhone but I am bored of its interface now. I loved screen of sgs and it awesome swype keyboard and that it plays all of the movie out of box but the one thing which I hate is that its platic feel. I personally like heavy phone to atleast feel the phone. there was something about this phone which was not right the way u feel it in ur hand. Then I changed my mind and bought nexus one through one of my friends developer account. I m really happy with it accept that I am still looking for video player which plays all the formats like sgs. If unknown one please email me at warmhughes@yahoo.co.in . Thanks and bye(personally the fact that this is the only fone which google sells makes it more attractive for me).

[deleted post]when it comes to design X10 is better but samsung galaxy is far better in terms of oS. This samsung Galaxy design cannot attract design oriented users like me. Please samsung make your own design its like a copy of iphone 3gs...

[deleted post]HTC desire's HTC sense and their widgets are plus points for HTC Desire. At times u will come across slight lags with Galaxy S. There is no big difference in the battery department, though Galaxy is slightly better. In all other aspects, Galaxy S is better. I have both these phones. Personally, I prefer Galaxy S.
NOTE: Samsung hardware rocks wherein there software leaves much to be desired.

what i do to improve my battery life on my x10.
Install Advanced Task Killer from the markey,go to settings and make it auto kill apps, and set it to whenever u lock ur phone.that will kill apps that are runing in the background when u lock ur phone
DONT set ur brightness to auto. set it to one set brightness.
When not using ur 3g, change ur network to edge which uses alot less battery.
Also try update ur phone to the latest build/software, which usually helps with battery life :)

to increase battery life lots of simple things, switch screen to either low brightness level or auto adjust, turn off live wall paper, or if you are using a static image choose one that has a lot of black in it, lower rate of automatice updatres for email push twitter updates and all other live updates to longest interval you can cope with and if not in area where you can get reception switch to airplane mode

Hello friends... Few days back i bought this phone .. when ever iam checking my balane by dialling(*123#) it shows USSD CODE RUNNING after 2 or 3sec.. i'll back to my home screen .. whats the matter pleaseee help me friends...

I would get this phone in heartbeat if it had a better camera. Come 8MP and Xenon or Led and I am sold.

[deleted post]the phone has no inbuilt navigation google has one but it works only in selected country.... it never works in india but it has google map which uses gps but not accurate and has less details...
i was happy with route 66 in my previous phone omnia but this is the real upset for the ppl in india...
samsung must provide atleast offline of "mapmy india" like moto milestone has....

For the benefit of the people wondering whether to choose between iPhone4 and Galaxy S.....I have finally able to exchange Galaxy S and happy with that....Please see my post of iPhone4 issue as below in the iPhone4 comment..

It was my complete mistake to chose iPhone4.
My new 1st iPhone4 display black out and over heated on the 1st time charging. I've got a replacement of 2nd iPhone4 but it is also keep resetting and hangup and service center offer to replace the 3rd iphone. Both faulty iPhone are confirm hardware problem. I don't belive i am too unlucky on earth...it is definitely the design flaw. If you still think iPhone4 is best, good luck to you. When you hold (especially with left hand), the signal also drop from 3 bar to 1 bar. This phone must be the terminator for Apple.
Worst still, the service.......I decided to change to Galaxy S but there is pushing and blaming each other between Apple Service and Singtel (carrier) Service. The fact is that once you buy iPhone, you are in a Deep-Sxxx and impossible to return. I was told by Telco that I have to return to Apple but Apple accepted first but after 5 days delay, Apple told me to return only to Telco. They told me only accept return for Signal Reception drop issue only after I have been waiting for the return process. Not only that, I have to wait 40 minutes to get through the iPhone4 return number ( 1800-6927753 option 5) whenever I need to call. I need to talk to 5 different people from iPhone and none of them follow up and the DEAD iPhone is in my hand for one week and I am stuck in between the Apple - Telco pushing each other.
It was a long story..Singtel telco finally accepted me to exchange with Galaxy only after I have told them that I will publish the issue and to write to CEO. I will share my experience to wherever and whenever possible. I do not hate any mobile before but APPLE iPhone4

honestly, i have had some with this one, but moved on and got the desire.
it just looed so tacky. and felt like a plastic toy.
desire. is alot better product.
