Hi, I installed a task killer!!! But i believe these task killers are fake, cause.. For example if u open a application and close it, u can see open applications on long hold of home button...
After killing the tasks the applications still appears on long press of home button, I'm confused if my mobile is having problem or other users too...
Any views guys?

i9000 will give extrodinary performance and satisfaction for smart phone users . i was the iphone user but after the use of i9000 i became the fan to samsung "it is just a great phone"

I am facing issues with the battery life of my Samsung Galaxy S. Not getting more than a days life on a typical smartphone kind of usage.
The usage pattern is very minimalistic like this
(Wi-Fi connected throught + Couple of phone calls + 15 mins of games + 30 mins video)
Any feedback/suggestions on this ? Is there a higher rated battery that I can buy ?

in the usb settings in the about phone menu just change it to mass storage device instead of kies!

downloadedjava/j2me for android v2.0 and now have another 31075 apps in java,,its brilliant cause i can use snaptu and other java stuff ive used in past.

wow new update appeared last night, not 2.2 though but it did bring in a task manager, increase ram and a new unlock screen as far as i can tell. After the initial update, things ran smoothly as usual again.

When you connect your samsung galaxy s to your pc,you should first do the following to your sgs.
Go to settings, then about phone,
Usb settings, this will give you 5 options.
Samsung kies
Media player
Mass storage
Pc internet
Ask on connection
Right,you have got a choice now.
Choose samsung kies if you want to go to your phone for firmware updates, or contacts etc.
PLEASE NOTE You have to unmount your external sd card for you to be able to connect in this mode.
You select media player if you want to play files from your storage cards.
Mass storage will also connect you to your storage cards.
Pc internet is selected when you looking at connecting your sgs as a modem .
Have a go and let us know how you go, i do it and it works perfect.

Oh man!
this phone is getting more attractive for consumers day after day and Samsung just started to push it heavily in Middle East countries.
heard from a friend they advertising Galaxy S even in small countries with massive amount of money for ads. no surprise after Q3 if Samsung outpaced HTC but to be honest(this word is coming from a die hard Samsung fanboy that had really bad days when Samsung's market share was only 1~4% and not to mention in 10~12 years using mobile phone never purchased or used any but Samy's)in HTC's case instead of going head-to-head,Samsung locked HTC under pressure in a different(some says unfair but i don't have any problem with this strategy anyway)way:not selling AMOLDs to HTC(which of course is Samsung's absolute right to trade with any company it likes or not).it caused some productions problems and yes of course dropping display quality and decreasing overall sales(which will affect the Q3 results).
Notices:
Losses from HTC AMOLED trading will cover with Samsung's own Smartphones.
(I'm not sure with this one but "THEY" are saying it here and there)the real reason behind scenes is likely come from Google Nexus One that HTC ate the project from Samsung.

callum, 14 Aug 2010ive got a samsung galaxy s i9000 on t-mobile ~ had the phon... morei am o2 uk and just go to market place to download app,,it says app will be dowloade anda red arrow pointing down appears at top of screen,,the more app the more arrows...to see app just pull down on top to reveal the wifi bluetooth setting and below all your app will be there in a list tap clear to clear them..to find app i just press apps on homescreen and scroll to find last apps downloaded..
samsung app icon on min has 7 written on it but the apps are not supported by galaxy s ..
