A pop-up will show and you'll be able to choose SWYPE input ;-)
There is an extensive help menu inside SWYPE so read it carefull !!
About the 5.1 sound:
Yes you only have 5.1 over the headphones.
I think there is a problem with your copy/format of the dvd because I haven't got any issues whith the sound of my films.
You can NOT download an app from the market to your pc and than transfer it to the phone.
Why would you anyway?
It's way more easy to download directly to the phone.

If you are having trouble, like I did, finding a good program to sync files to the Galaxy S. I suggest just using FTP. An easy way to do so is to download SwiFTP from the android market and then download an FTP client to your computer (I use Filezilla). If you do this your phone can act as a server to transfer files to and from your desktop (client) computer. This works great as long as you have a wifi connection.

'SOME FILE FORMATS ARE NOT SUPPORTED !!,,this happen on symbian were the video attempts to play but only the sound can be decoded...The other way round ive never heard of to be honest..

It's not keis but KIES.
KIES is the software you need to synchronize your phone with the pc.
You NEED it to UPDATE the phone firmware!
You CAN use it to port files/pics/video/etc to the phone.
But you can also do this by using your phone as mass storage (drive) using usb connection.
Unfortunately there are quite a few problems with KIES reported.
Connection problems with the phone and installation problems on Win7 and even XP pc's...
Samsung is working on it and there will be a new KIES version soon that should solve the problems.
Personally I'm using KIES on a WinXP + service pack3 and the latest updates and I have no problems what so ever!
My Samsung Omnia II and the Galaxy S both connect without any hassle.
Make sure to restart your pc after installing KIES to make sure the (usb)drivers are installed correctly!
You can check this after restart in the 'software' from your pc.

So far I am using SGH-i780 running W... morei cant anawer either but a quick email to samsung should do trick,,that the trouble swapping operating systems (i am ingrained in series 60 nokia and into windows like spv range, htc touch pro, xperia etc)you dont know the system well and you dont know what supports what...With windows its a scaled down version and plug ins or apps allowed easy sync with a windows fone,,now when you swap you feel a bit out of your league like i do with Android,,,i also think i would be out of my league with blackberry as well..

This phone is the best phone I've seen until now. Samsung is doing some great revolution in their production gama. I was on the sea with this phone and I had everything that was in need of. Music, Camera ( I made some great pictures and videos even talking for night environment such as disco clubs), internet, 3G, Movies and everything you can imagine of!!!

I need to have continuous synch of email and calendar running on the MS Exchange Server 2007 in my workplace, thru GPRS. can this be done on Galaxy? no one seems to know! pl help

Premasai, 11 Aug 2010Pros: 1) Unbelievable light weight 2) Superb screen size an... morehey hey wait tell me wat version u r using.... bec version jp3 has some serious problem of draining battery and lags but after some updates its fine now and u must use the auto task manager to close the background running programs and update has fixed gps issue...
