Hi. Does anyone know if i could get a control pad for this phone? That would be awesome and would make gameplay on the psx4droid really cool.

Am very upset, few days ago i downloaded snesoid from the android market. I was playing games like moral kombat and killer instincs, i have notice where the transparent directional pad is on the screen has dug in a little, its not affected the beautiful screen in any way its jus that grease gets stuck in that low spot and its reeeealy hard cleanin that bit. When the phone is locked you could see it =( . Has any one else had a similar issue? plz mail @ tojhoque@googlemail.com. Thanxs.

Surprised and a very good feeling about this phone.
I have a 3gs and love it but wanted to have a bigger screen for browsing the internet.
Oke the iphone 4 is great and yes I checked it but the screen on the galaxy.. ...wow!!
And also Android is a worthy alternative.
I forget the galaxy looks like my other phone the minute I start it up.
Its a great phone and very fast.
I do not seem to have any problems with this phone.
Gps works fast, no black screens,a lot of apps running and still the same speed, battery life more than o.k. and with froyo even flash to make the internet more fun.
This is without a doubt one of the best phones around.

Mike, 03 Aug 2010As a matter of fact i only have original launcher that came... moreHey Mike,

I've read on a Dutch forum (www.tweakeers.net)there might be a problem also if you have installed a 'Task killer app'
If you did, delete it from the phone, but do a complete factory reset any way!

Regarding to your gps problem, perhaps this is only related to your us provider.

Please have a look at this site:

            http://www.androidcentral.com/quick-fix-gps-issues-your-new-samsung-galaxy-s-series-phone

Perhaps it helps if you change the setting in your phone.

Otherwise just wait 'till the update to Froyo next month because Samsung knows about the gps problem in some cases and is working on it.
As you can read in the comments on the above link there will be an update for the gps as soon as it's available.

            Kathleen

john d, 03 Aug 2010I have just gotten a galaxy s off optus in australi and the... morego into your settings. in gps and location services, check the box that says connect to wireless and 3g networks when searching gps. This is how A gps works. the optus version turns this off. When your connected to 3g at the same time, the reciever pinpoints your general location via satelite, then trianglates your exact location via mobile phone towers. Your phone is not faulty, just your settings. hope that helps.

I have just gotten a galaxy s off optus in australi and the GPS is faulty. It looks like it is an issue with this phone in general
Called Samsung support and was told that the phone was not a dedicated GPS device so not to worry about it.
Well Samsung what a disapointment as the rest of the phone is fine.

To all SGS Users, (esp MY),

Pls try this, hard-reset or off/on your SGS & try to connect to internet via mobile data, which is either 3G or HSDPA. You may get the error message "Please Check Your Network Access". No matter whatever ways you had tried, contact the Telco, manually select the network, hard-reset again, nothing help. You will still never get to connect to internet.

The only quick solution is that, simply connnect to any WIFI the SGS can detect, connect & disconnect it. Then now only able to so called connect to internet via mobile data.

However, the proposed & most recommended solution from the Telco, pls walk into the nearest Samsung Service Centre to upgrade the SGS firmware. What the............... I just bought this new SGS a week ago.................... Its just like I'm buying troublesome for myself.........................

I've checked my SGS, the existing firmware version is 2.1-update1. Which mean it may have update 2,3, 4, etc............................?

Except the above, SGS is a Good phone. But I will have to point out this defect if someone is asking my opinion if they want to buy this SGS.

This looks like a good iphone 4 competitor but alas ! it has no led flash. How could they forget to add led flash on such a beautiful phone ? and that too when they were competing with iphone4 ? Any answers Samsung ?
Maybe I will wait for Galaxy S with led flash support.

[deleted post]Phones are not supposed to made in metal. You should have it in your pocket not under your wheels and check it. Can you please tell me which phone is the best in the world? I suggest you to buy titanium phone, which will meet all your requirements.
