hai i bought the sgs 4 days before and the display is good and amoled is eating all the battery it is not good with the battery

oh.........god come on men i bought the galaxy s and i iam really not satisfied with the battery giving amoled display is not worth to galaxy-s it is pulling the battery level down performence is ok......

There have been a couple of reports here in the Netherlands and they are confirmed as being a faulty display.
Those phones were changed by new ones no questions asked.
So don't wait and return it to the shop.

someone seems comparing X6 with this phone. the huge difference you ignore display quality, OS, interface - how u can customize u device, x6 don't even zoom properly, we have to use virtual button on photo, where we can zoom any photo or web page by touching any where.......

Hello guys,
i just received my shiny SGS but it seems to have
a problem, i'm not sure if it's hardware related
or if a firmware upgrade could fix it?
Details : screen is nice and working... But seems
like there s a thin transparent vertical line, 1cm
from left side on the display, from top to bottom.
It's barely visible on a wallpaper but with some text, menus or animation, all along that line you can see the slight corruption caused.
For a better example, text over it exactly looks like some sort of "cleartype font", one of those you don't choose :)
I m looking for some hard reset in menus but what do you advise me to do ? i just received it today, i can go and send it back tomorrow and be sure to get another one, or i could try to see with a firmware flash it could go better/vanish ? Physically the screen has nothing visible from an impact or else. Any one has such a line on his/her screen?

It's an outrages price!if it was more like $450, like the wave, yeah, but probably samsung didn't want to steal the thunder from the wave, which makes one of the best indoor shots i've seen, (judging from the samples here)...because wave has their own bada os they prob decided to cripple the galaxy s?
if this baby doesn't get a flash it will stay just one gorgeous big screen, and i will not be getting it...flash IS the norm in expensive smartphones today...you'll figure it out next time at a party when the guys take out their waves, iphones and sonys and you are stuck with this!
