First install the latest version of Kies.
After installation open kies and on top left goto
Kies---->Driver Recovery--->Yes
After reinstalling the driver connect your i9000 in Kies mode and most probably it will connect and if not try 2 - 3 times again and I am quite sure it will connect.
There is a bit problem but not much and once connected and it is quite good.

I'm not able to conect my I9000 to my PC (windows 7), via USB cable that was in the box. the message that shows up, says: driver installed unsuccesfully. Instalation failed - unknown type.
Does anyone had the same problem? Any suggestion?

So the Samsung Galaxy S has no flash? Not that I care. Everything else is perfect. I love my phone! Make way iPhone, someone is taking over your crown.

The Samsung I9000 Galaxy shape looks identical to my current M8800 Pixon. The Samsung I897 "Captivate" (Identical handset for Korean market) appears to be slightly curved at both top & bottom, and looks more "trendy" & up to date.
Also on the gsmarena website the photo of the i897 "captivate" has name "Galaxy S" on the back of the phone. Which is which?
Can any one explain for me the difference. I live in Cape Town S.A. and apparantly we will only receive the i9000 for our market.
Oh Yes , does i9000 have AT&T?

There isn't any problem installing games and applications on the telephone momory right? I mean I can use all of the 8 Gb internal memory for games and apps? Or there is a small memory on with to install there apps and games and the rest is just for movies and songs?

I have on my nokia a log that saves all my calls and messages data(sunt the caller and date), and if I want to erase a specific call or message I have to erase the whole log.
