Hy mob users . . In my view plzz dnt prefer to buy Galaxy s . . The camera, network grasping,editing etc . . r very bad . . Its better to buy n8 compared to galaxy s . . And the battery power is high but unfortunately . . The android os will sux the whole battery within hours . . :)) . .

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2012After having the Galaxy S for two years now I have to say I... moremate u are very wrong, i have the i9000, and if u install only necessary apps,and clear history my battery lasts for 2 and half days with normal usage, and 1 day with heavy usage, wifi and games, i love this phone.

Mine is about a yr old and I get 3 days with web use and a reasonable amount of gaming. Or 2 and a1/2 hours when playing mc3 constantly when its on multiplayer and when using the wifi constantly for online gaming. And the tethering hotspot is a breeze....which is the same set up as all android phones....since they are all android of course. This phone actually has one of the better battery back up. Personally I think a lot of folks overcharge their batteries and damage them, just 95% charge is suitable, and much more charge damages the batterys performance and the battery.

After having the Galaxy S for two years now I have to say I am very dissapointed. This is my first smart phone. Battery life is dismal at best. Not a mobile phone when you constantly have to be tethered to a charging source. We have 2 of these phones and they both share the same problems. Were lucky to get 4-5 hours battery life if you dont use it at all. Not a very good phone, because of short battery life. Battery meter will show half full but if you make a call it shuts off. Good for pissing off clients, not good for business. These phones do not work as well as my daughters cheap LG phones for reception and call reliability. All on the same Sprint plan. All the apps respond very slow on this phone. It does take nice photos but no longer will upload them to my computer. Have never been able to get it to work as a hot spot tethering device. Neither could the techs where I bought it. Would I recommend this phone, Nope! You will be very dissapointed.

display lights up and goes off again it lights and goes off

angie, 08 Jun 2012i have the galaxy s and when i say i have had software prob... moreIt dpends on ur os versi0n. Replace ur stock rom with a costum r0m. Im using cyan0gen mod icecreamsandwch 4.0. So my ph0ne is i9000 running a icecreamsndwch. Lot lot betTer than iph0ne4!
