I'm from Chennai, India and I've been using this handset for a week now. In the initial days I was worried that the phone was getting heated very frequently. But the truth is that in the initial days I was using the handset continously for long duration and in turn its getting heats up... but it's quite normal for any electronic device and that too for a mobile phone which in the background searches for mobile tower signals, wifi signals etc and not to forget the BIG SCREEN.
I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE HANDSET! Thats it.
Decent battery life, about a day and a quarter but thats supposed to get better after 5 or 6 full charging cycles.
Good audio quality, in call volume, speaker volume etc.
YES, the phone lags at times and Android Task Killer is the way to go. And an Froyo update will make this phone even better.
NO RECEPTION ISSUES AT ALL EVEN IF COVER THE ENTIRE PHONE WITH MY HANDS :)
To conclude, I'm absolutely happy with my purchase.

i have just bought this phone but my applications are not being downloaded rom android market/or it shows downloads unsuccessful can any 1 help 2 resovle the issue

Hi. I recently bought this handset about a week ago, it's a great phone but is anybody having reception problems? When I hold the handset in a certain way, the signal bar drops. Kinda like what happens to the iPhone 4. Anybody having the same problem?

It's fast on the internet, pics good - havn't event thought about the fact that it hasn't got a ledflash! It's easy to handle, great to send text with because of the word suggestions that appears as soon as U start writing.
Swype is fantastic, but I can't use it in Sweden (yet, will come this autumn) becaus we have å ä ö in our alphabet.
All textmessage are sorted by who's sent them. U can read all messages that U and an friend wrote like a chat.
Still haven't found anything that I'm NOT satisfied with.
The superamoled display really works in sunshine!!
Great sound and lots of great features.
It's the best mobile I've ever had and I can really recommend it :0)

Are Samsung going to deliver firmware updates as promised to all their new galaxy series Android devices inc this one & the BEAM phone?
If they don't I'd imagine it will put off a lot of interested buyers inc previous buyers. Android 3.0 is nearly out & the BEAM will be shipped & released with version 2.1...with no say from samsung on support & firmware upgrade?
All I can say is they better not dissapoint or they may find people not buying their products if not promising to deliver much needed device software suppport & updates to fix bugs in the code, & add new feature sets. I have to say this is a serious thought to make.
Anyone wish to comment who knows more about samsung news & has either bought one of these or anyone who knows samsungs current roadmap current plans & future future plans to support the Android devices with new firmware?

Niece gadget , But !!!!!
Photo safe cant found SD card
Documents to go 10$ APS is not working properly .
Synchronization with PC is disaster .
HTC don’t have sow super duper screen resolution but is real smart/businesses phone .
Any real comments and not this bla bla about move , music player ????

Fongy, 08 Jul 2010If you're experiencing lag - then use task killer - like an... moreWhich negative comment about the screen? I agree this is the best screen on the market, simply mentioned that up close the pisels appear a little coarse due to the lower pixel density.
As for the video, I suspect a phone fault for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the delay in lip-synch varies as the video playback speed alters, and it does actually slow down and speed up slightly while I'm watching it. The same video plays perfectly on the PC and on my Desire (well, now the wife's Desire). Interestingly I can also skip to any part of the video with no pixelation and the cut is immediate?? What are you using to convert your vids by the way?
I disagree about a xenon flash simply because it's useless as a video light. The perfect handset would probably have both. An LED may be crappy but if it makes the difference between not capturing a special moment in low light and capturing a badly exposed but visible special moment then I'll take a crappy LED please.
I have Taskiller onboard but you know what, I've never needed it to make the Desire work smoothly so why should I suddenly have to fire it up to keep the Galaxy happy?
I'm increasingly wondering if I have a hardware issue but I better decide quickly, only a few day left to return the thing :o/

Please keep us updated about Heat / GPS / and RAM Issues.. I noticed Heat with the HTC Desire after downloading a lot, and playing a while through 3G, which did bother me some.

Went from a 3GS to this and my god is it a beauty. Way better and i am loving the freedom android gives. The screen is unreal, the speed of the handset is mindblowing and all the free apps is a huge bonus. Would never go back to apple. Have finally realised there are better handsets out there. Was going to wait for the iphone 4 but with all the problems being reported went for the Galaxy S. best decision i ever made

Does anyone experience lag while using this phone. I do feel it while using some of the application. And also I don't have some of the applications on my phone Such as Google Voice Search, And Voice Command. Does anyone having indian version of the phone have these applications.
