          Got my SGS on Sunday.

I would like to mention some issues (may be applicable to Indian version only).

          1)Heating issue
I did not feel it on first day of use. But a very next day when replaced sim card, I could feel the heat at the backside of the phone.

          2)Lag...
There was no lag at all when I started using this beast. But I as kept copiing more and more stuff, I could feel siginificant lag on evey screen.

3)No scratch guard or any other protection available in market for this plastikey mobile... whenever I tend to remove the backcover of the phone, I have to take care as if the delicate plastic cover gets broken even a little bit, I do not know if it can be replaced with the new one.

          4)Installing third party apk files.
Please take care while installing any third party applications downloaded form the net.My phone crashed many times while doing so. I had to reset to factory setting again and again.

          5)No Camera Flash

taz, 06 Jul 2010hi Bala. . i dont seem 2 hv ne of th probs listed by u. . m... moreHi
THanks for your reply. I've read lot of forums, and couple of forums including XDA stating that Li-ion batteries tend to improve its capacity and get its full power after couple of charges. So battery problem is over.

But the heat issue is worrying me a lot, it gets heated up when connected to PC, on wifi and playing video for more than 15 mins.

Anybody else is facing such issues??

                    Pls let us know.

I have problem in syncing the contents from the Galaxy S to the PC using the Samsung Kies. It tends to lag or hang on the PC whenever I try to tranfer files. Has anyone had the same propblem as mine? Can someone outthere please help?

Whoever is thinking to buy a desire, nexus, droid, x10 or any snapdragon device instead of galaxy S, check this video :

                          http://www.droiddog.com/android-blog/2010/07/hummingbird-processor-shows-off-on-video/

After seeing that you can go get the galaxy knowing it's the best.

                              Hi prince,
I asked Samsung Plaza today and the price they are quoting is Rs. 28,500/-. At Univercell.in, the price is stated as Rs. 27,885/-.

                                Hi,
In this forum, some of you have complained about the RAM being showed as either 256MB or 326MB instead of the "officially" stated 512MB. Also in the samsung sites, there is, quite strangely, nothing mentioned about the RAM specifications of Galaxy S. I am finding out about Galaxy S sporting a 512MB RAM from other sites only. Can you guys please share your opinions on this as I too am looking forward of buying this phone.

One thing for sure that the Galaxy S can do that the I-phone 3Gs cannot do. When someone is making a call to you while you are typing a text message, the message would be auto-saved but not the I-Phone 3Gs.

anonymous, 07 Jul 2010I've been reading comments around the net about this phone ... moreDepends on how you use the device. If you are using it a lot throughout the day, expect the charge to last a day (which is true with all smartphones). Otherwise, the battery will last you 3-4 days. If you get the phone, download the free app 'Taskiller Free' to kill of unused applications still running in the background, turn off WiFi and Bluetooth, turn down the brightness of the display and you will have no problems with battery life.

Wow what an amazing purchase this phone has been to me! Forget the plasticky feel as it is made of high quality materials, but feels so light in the hand. Graphics rock on this phone and Android just makes it a pleasure to use on a day-to-day basis.
