Hi guys, just received my I9000 today. Feels great to have it. Have a few small problems though.
1.I want to be able to see my current postion in a map without having to connect to internet. Is it possible at all?
2."A-GPS needs internet" says the review. how to deactivate it?

In other words: Is it possible to have an on-board navigation (even map+current position will do for me as long as its on-board)

            Thanks all.

Just got it yesterday. It's so much better than the iphone 3G which I've upgraded from. 30 pounds a month on Orange. 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500 MB of internet per month. Faster 3G connection than 02 who I was previously with, even in the Lake District! Video player plays your .avi files with no converting, better than Apple. Clear as a bell. Lovely depth to the pictures. HD recording works a treat. Perfection.

Without a doubt the best phone on the market. The screen alone makes it stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Galaxy S will have flash -it was just the early prototype that didn't. This has been confirmed by both Samsung itself as well as Expansys, which is one of the biggest distributors in Europe.

Just to be clear im not a smartphone fan, but when i have time i want to know more about the thing that will be in my pocket for 1 year.Iphone 4 is if u want perfection, many apps , some sort of open source ( jailbraking ), no lagging , nice animations, and for more simplicity.Samsung galaxy s ( i9000 ) is for less apps (but u get 30 % of the apps that the iphone has ) more open development , complicity on a nice lvl , right out of the box supp for many things.

                                    Hi SGS owners
I do understand that SGS does not support flash.
Can someone comment on how the good the camera is for taking pictures under:
                                    1) Outdoor conditions - sunlight
                                    2) Indoor low-light conditions.

                                    Same questions for Video recording.
                                    Thx in advance !!

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2010wat is its msg memory??? is it lik other samsung phone, 250... morelol, i think only low-end phones have a message limit. High-end phones allow you to store to phone memory and move them. This will definately allow you to store more tahn 250 messages. My samsung omnia can store an infinite amount of messages, and that device is 2 years old
