It's just been launched in Singapore. Approx US$275 on a US$27 data plan for 2 years. A bit disappointed about the lack of camera flash though...so used to that on my Omnia.

I owen both HTC Desire and Legend. But can not wait to see Samsung I9000 Galaxy to come out. It has many advantages over my HTC Desire phone. Mainly the Size, Video, Light, DViX,Screen and so on.
today hear about Acer Stream but does not come close to Galaxy. Screen smaller and weight is more than 140 over 118 of Samsung.

Lol, 27 May 2010These are not official firmwares, and all of them have bugs... moreLook, they are official firmwares, i know that there are also plenty of cookers that make pretty damn good firmwares for what is available... by that I mean symbian 5th OS. which blows IMHO big time, i know that there wasnt a huuuuge support for the I8910 in apps and firmwares but still, that's cause the phone was based on symbian... I'm sure that this is the best choice of Anroid phone you can go for...

I was going to buy the desire until the galaxy showed up. I think it's worth to wait 1 or 2 months before it's release. I hope it's not going to cost more then 500€

Rakesh, 27 May 2010It looks like a feature packed device.
But,I read that t... moreFlash browsing is only possible right now on the nexus one, if you manually upgrade it to Froyo(2.2). Other phones will have to wait till their brands offer a firmware upgrade because they don't use stock android. It's usually a heavy modded android version with customized apps and UI. Samsung announced they will offer an upgrade to Froyo for this phone within a year.
Anyway, Flash was tested on the Nexus One with Froyo, I can tell you that till now it's still a failure. Maybe Steve Jobs was right. It cripples the phone and the browser. Drastically sucks up the battery and you will be able after a certain time to fry an egg on your phone.
BUT Google said it's only a Beta flash 10.1, we then hope that the final version will be better performance and consumption wise. Or I'm afraid we'll have to admit that Steve was right.

But,I read that this will support flash while browsing,
How to come across this disadvantage,
Can we upgrade to later android versions?

Are you people really arguing about ratings. You know it isn't realistic at all. It's just fanboys ratings.

phones fan, 27 May 2010when the samsung wave reached the number 1 in the ranking w... moreI could also not belive the design of Galaxy S reached 8.8 .
And you will be agree N8 is most sexiest phone of the year and Galaxy S looks like a full phone in front of it. And Nokia phone give high rate to N79 because it is a great phone and users are pleased with this phone. See the user reviews.
BTW see this cheap phone of Samsung, it got 8.7 overall ranking. Its higher than N79 and many other phones. Do you think this phone is better than these high end phones. This is a poor mentallaty of Samsung fans.
