Try this first..
1) Remove the battery and wait 30 secs and then reinsert it.
2) Switch on holding down Vol Up+Home+Power buttons. Your phone will go into Recovery mode.
3) Using the Vol Up/Down buttons select 'Wipe Cache partition' and press the Home button.
4) Do the same as 3) but select 'Wipe Data/ Factory Reset.
5) Do the same as 3) but select 'Reboot System Now'
That will optimize the battery and remove any data flux from your phone.
**WARNING**
Doing the above will remove everything from your phone - Apps, Contacts, Messages etc, so back up anything you want to keep first.
Your phone will now be like it has just come out of the factory.

It will tell you when a program consumes to much CPU. You should easily see what is draining your battery. It might also be that the battery is too new and need some recharge cycles to get in shape or that the battery is defective.

Sir,My samsung galaxy S wont fully start up.i take the battery out and start it and it goes through the starting up phase with the spirals and what not and then the screen says GALAXY S then the phone either just shut of by itself or the screen is black.but the bottom two touch buttons are lightup.i've tried to do the reset on it by holding the up volume,home button and power button.but that doesnt seem to work either..sir plz give me a fast reply...thanxx
