According to some sites, samsung wants to bring the phone to the masses. So they expect it to below $500 or 23000 INR. If it is true, then think what happened to the other competitors.

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2010poor. so poor. very poor. this has no LED FLASH! very disap... moreI am actually gonna buy the x10 the next week so I won't buy that one because it's gonna take another 2-3 months to release but let me tell you something.
First about that radio(and for the thousand time) YOU CAN BUY A BLUETOOTH HEADSET WITH INTEGRATED FM RADIO IT WILL WORK THE SAME.
second, about the flash. LED flash isn't flash at all. The important in night shots is light sensitivity. SE didn't fool themselves with the X10 the led flash is either on or off(used for framing the picture) it's not actually used as a flash which triggers with the picture because it would be pointless.
This device is wonderful:
- 1GHZ new samsung processor(with 4x better graphic performance than the snapdragon)
- 4" super amoled(nothing to compare with)
- Android(finally samsung woke and gave up on Bada and symbian)
- Touchwiz, though not fantastic, it can be easily modded
I can assure you that within one week of the release you could switch to a modded sensui or timescape/mediascape
The only thing I hold against it is that lame samsung design. When are these people learn to make nice phones.
So why I'm gonna buy the X10? simply because it's too much waiting for this and buy the time it comes out there will be a new and better phone announced and I'll have to wait again. And the X10 have much better looks.

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2010Who told u that this superb phone has no fm radio. Just che... moreIt's mentioned in the initial spec sheet. Having a radio icon in the menu does not necessarily mean that there is one. The os is still in it's early stages and maybe a ported touchwiz with radio Icon.

I guess this a great market penetrating strategy -"Android". Earlier, OS of these handsets were crap and they'd rely on Android for thier future fates. But its a good thing that Nokia has not really thought of doing that. Apparently, when comparison happens, people talk a lot of negatives about Symbian. Android is a good OS, but wants us to follow what it has to offer and not how we want it. Goodluck Samsung.

the cam has no flash because they have a new sensor with its own processor attached to the sensor. It is mentioned in a press release earlier 2009. Supposedly, the processor has the ability to autofocus continuously during filming and also auto adjust lighting to meet 720p recording standards unlike others that record HD if conditions allow. It also has some tech that Samsung uses in their tvs to correct lighting conditions for still shots and focus abilities from 15cm to infinity(my number may b slightly off). I could not for the life of me understand why there wasn’t a flash until reading that info.

nice so far. Samsung does a good job on most of their products. the one thing they missed on here is not going with an 8mp camera. 5mp is old technology now. and they must use a xenon flash. LED just doesn't get it done. otherwise, good job Samsung.

Aside from throwing all originality out the window and blatantly copying the me too phone (which seems counter intuitive to me… if you look like an iphone, how will people know it’s a samsung?), their support for devices already released has been terrible. As much as I like this phone, I just can’t imagine actually purchasing it.
I feel the same way - HTC all the way!! :)
