friends please check your specification list it say I9003 has optical trackpad. Actually it does not have one.please check before posting.

Samsung has rolled out the ginger bread update for galaxy s. some people in this forum were of the view that the same update can be used for both S and SL. is it still the case our are we still at the mercy of samsung to get us the ginger bread update for our phones?

There is a big big problem with the samsung I9003 Galaxy
The four buttons you see on the homepage
Phone,Contacts,Message and Application.
If your finger touches the lower half of the buttons they cannot be pressed or sometimes need to be pressed twice.I have already purchased this phone.I am literally shattered,how can Samsung purchase a defective model.This problem exists in all pieces of I9003 I myself have verified.

GT-I9003 has problem with Auto Screen Rotation (ASR), screen does not change from land scape to potrait when u hold phone upright. It does not rotate at 90 degree but it rotate at 180 degree

Hai guys I got this mobile one week ago.its awesome the battery lasts for 18hrs on 2g network by disabling background data..even browsing internet in my galaxy sl(TESTED)...camera quality is ok..not the best..android froyo os rocks...lots of apps on market..super lcd screen is awesome which can withstand battery life over amoled screen...definitely worth at this price 20k...
Definitely a smartphone..truly gonna get gingerbread update in future..

Dont buy this phone. Note the following:
1. No single beep option (like in Nokia).
2. Sound/speaker quality is poor -- very poor job.
3. Sound/speaker level is not good.
4. The control buttons on the sides are at the same level. So when you are pressing the right side button to turn off screen, you will also mistakenly press the left side button changing the ring volume etc.
5. Phone will often hang, especially if you have some apps running on it. YOu will have to reboot.
6. You will not get updates on Android (this phone is like an orphan). Galaxy S and others get updates much faster.
7. GPS does not work out of the box -- you will have to tinker with settings that ordinary people cannot do.
8. Compass will not work out of the box and service center will ask you to wait for next update.
9. You will notice lags in operation -- sometimes scrolling will be uncontrollably fast and sometime it will get stuck and go -- jittery.
10. Rings are set in such a way that first ring is low volume and then from second ring, it is normal volume. There is no way to change setting so phone rings at desired volume from first ring.
11. GSM Arena does not seem to cover such points in its reviews. They will only say things like 'out of th world' etc. etc. But never talk about practical aspects of the thing.
So be careful -- for heavy professional use, this may not he the best phone. The only positive thing I guess is ofcourse large screen and reasonable battery life.

In the specification list you have mentioned there is optical trackpad. Does Samsung I9003 really has one ? i doubt.Thanx.

I have only one regret. I have lost my loudspeaker of phone without any reason.
