To all out there, I am having this phone i9003, I got problem in connecting to internet using wifi in my house internet connection, once I open and found our line in the wifi setting and enter our password the screen appear "Obtaining IP address to ..."then it disconnect the line, but in my office I could connect to our internet using wifi, and I could update my phone app, download some, but I have a limited time to use it in my office, I expect to use it more in my house for I have more time. please help me.... Thanks

This is awesome phone, Buy it, as it is new model, as well as it getting Gingerbird Update in India by July 1 or 2 Week.
This is very good touch (Feather), Super Clear, even I am using 20% of it brightness, but it is very sharp, images are in good quality. Net Speed is very good in 2G Network (I am using Vodafone – Rs. 98/- pack for 30 days 6 GB).
I am downloaded Yahoo mail and chat application, which is also running nice, but still I am not able to use it Tango as I am not getting any invite may be….. eBuddy, Etc
But I am using other IM Chat application and chatting with friends.
Video Player: QQPlayer, Rock Player.
Media Player: Ginger bird Default Music Player (Downloaded from XDA Developer).
E-Mail client: K9Mail, Yahoomail, Default Gmail.
For Youtube Download: Tubemate.
For Ringtones & Wallpapers: Zedge, Backgrounds.
Remote Control: Team Viewer, 2X Client.
Social Network: Social Jogger, Facebook, GoChat. Etc
File Manager: ES File Explorer (Supports Zip also)
Sprots: CricBuzz, (Live Radio (voice) Commentary and Score Card)
Launcher: Live Home, Zeam Launcher, Default.
Gallery: Quick Pic, Fish Bowl Photo, Default.
Font changer: Fontomizer.
Games: Angry Bird Rio, Drag Racing, WorldCup

I can not download Skype in my i9003 Galaxy SL(Froyo2.2). I tried from the android market but it gives me the error:
"This item cannot be installed in your device's country"
I'm living in bangladesh and i should be able to download a free application. someone plz help!!!!

AnonD-2509, 28 May 2011I totally Agree With the battery Drain issue, even though i... moreDo not make setting auto for brightness, set by manual, it should be 20% around only. in sunlight or very dark you can increase the % of brightness but not always, use Quick Setting, it will provide you all the settings details in one screen, from here you can adjust, brightness, wifi, 3G,volume,Bluetooth, GPS etc.. So just set the setting as per your need, and save battery,,,,,life....

Rochu, 28 May 2011Hey i am having a prob. Ever since i activated 2G internet ... more@ First Disable Data from Wireless connection>Mobile>Data.
then goto Wifi from Wireless Connection> Switch On, it search and the avilable Wifi Network which one you using earlier, connect and check it is with Lock or open, and do the formalities and put remember, it will connect allways when ever you switch on wifi even though through widget of home screen.

Vicky, 28 May 2011I bought this phone on 22nd May- Its a good looking phone w... moreBuddy, I have been using this mobile Galaxy SL for about 4 months...remember that when you have more widgets, system takes time to refresh each of them..untill and unless they are entirely dependent on Data Network like weather or news...so if you keep more widgets on each screen, it will surely slow the performance...Its a powerful device, NO DOUBT..but still its a mobile...dont expect it to be equal to a I7 processor :-) , better do one thing, create a folder on screen and then save all those apps you want to use frequently in that folder..it works, I mean it makes the device work fast...and one more thing is that if you use an application called Advanced Task Killer, you can see how many apps are open behind...that is how Android is designed..so close all apps when not used...it will surely increase speed...I am more than satisfied with this mobile..I hope even you can be happy with it... :-)

I hav certain probs regardin thz phne-
1. My phone cannot play youtube in edge.... It plays only wid wifi or 3G..... Even buffering z very slow n same whn i use for lg optimus one, i never faced such problem.... The speed was awesum on optimus....
2. Battery drains off vry fast lyk old laptops,, whr gradually the remaining battery lyf is moved frm 30% to 15% and the notification comes to charge it...
3. In the camera a clear line is appeared in betwn the screen but when i click photos it disappearsin the pic but again comes whn i start tha camera again..... Thz problem is only while picture takin and not while video shooting.....
