I love this phone; currently using it in the U.S. with AT&T. Got it in Hong Kong for HK$3549 (~USD$457). All functions are excellent, especially love the Mobile AP feature; I can turn the phone into a wireless access point anytime free of charge for my laptop, if needs to. You may also turn the data function off to conserve battery if don't need to feed data. Tested download speed in San Fran and got up to 3.2Mbps (avg about ~2.5Mbps); this could be the bandwidth limit by AT&T since there are so many Smartphone users out there. Screen is super clear like stated even though it's not AMOLED. It's slightly easier on your eyes comparing to the i9001 S Plus, I think. Also customized with App so I can download anything directly to the phone. Camera and Video takes excellent photo and vids.
If you want a much better phone and willing to pay more? I would suggest the Galaxy i9100 S II; otherwise this is a great phone packed with great features.
Cons:
no flash for photo shooting
no 850 band for 3G/HSPDA (why???)
hard to find protective case, too new?
why not just put 512MB instead of 478MB (??)

i am unable to play videos on youtube..... before this i was using corby pro which runs utube smoothly evn the speed f internet z vry slow
..... thz phone z much better than corby pro so y m not able to play that??? Plz help me guyz..... M usin tata docomo internet in bangalore...... N was usin the same for corby pro......

And galaxy s plus in much better phone than galaxy sl with 1.4ghz processor,android 2.3gingerbread,super amoled display,8gb memory. Waiting for the phone to be launched in india.

It has fantastic screen. browses with breeze,camera is good under bright light,call quality is good,plenty of applications (its real fun).I got it for RS.18,625.at Ebay india. I would recommend people to buy.
Cons- poor battery life ,lasts one day with moderate heavy usage.Has no camera flash.

Aircel has diffrent APNs for different circles. These are some of them
aircelgprs.po for postpaid connections of Tamilnadu
aircelgprs.pr for Prepaid connnection of Tamilnadu
aircelgprs for rest of the circles...
Pls specify the circle name and the connection type to give the exact apn name.

unable to use aircel internet(gprs)in my galaxy sl. somebody help plz.....

The battery doesn't last more than 2days reaches 15% and asks to charge the battery the third day morning..
I tried with no games/no gprs/no WiFi/no Bluetooth/no much screen operation. Single home screen/low brightness/frequent clearing of RAM with task manager i see apps getting closed when clearing up the memory even when gprs is disabled.
Used for about 3hrs of calls & few SMS , 3~4 hrs of radio & music play.
i9003 is good in battery when used as a normal phone but battery sucks when used as smartphone.
