No TV out!!! By nokia AV cable :(
And for the mideleast ME it is only 4GB !!!
I have it and the 4GB printed on the box
but the device is really good there is no lag what so ever un like the I9000

Finally bought it! Awesome specs for the price....
i faced a problem though
kies wont allow me to upgrade the firmware
"this version of the device cannot be updated"?? i even tried using update settings options in the phone, but it gives the same msg always "connctn to sevr failed". what shud i do?

1. After seeing your query's I too tried to send messages to as many as possible...I found that, maximum of 20 contacts can be added at a time to send a message..
2. Sad for us, we cant as when I tried to install some apps from GETJAR and ZEDGE, it did not work...But the best part is :-) there is no need to install from outside...android market is having anything you want, from wallpapers to applications..
3. I have almost opened all sites with this mobile...speed is good, but when you open websites like 123greetings.com, as it has lot of flash..it takes long time..
4. NO we don't get any memory card out of the box..only 4GB internal memory...

meanwhile, whether phone contai... moreI really dont know how to confirm whether the glass is GORILLA GLASS or not...but recently because of an small accident I have confirmed that it is gorilla glass(I hope so)...
i was downloading some videos to my Galaxy SL through USB connect, while sudenly, my niece (6ys of age) has pulled the data cable, and the device fell on the floor with its screen facing on ground, and she dragged it for about 2 meters(we dont have a carpet flooring), for a moment I thought that the screen is gone...but when I picked up my device, it had some dirt stuck to it, but not a single scratch...
this was my experience...but I may be lucky here...but this must tell us, that the screen glass, even if it is not gorilla glass, must be scratch resistant...
Coming to battery life...I call for almost 50 minutes, play nearly 1 and half hour of gaming, browse net on my device for about 2 hrs..listen and watch video songs for about 1 hr...all these in a day, and before I keep my SL for charging in the night, I check that the battery left is around 36% to 43%....
Now you judge, how can be the battery life for your usage...

Galaxy has AMOLED, but SL has SUPER LCD, believe me Super LCD is way attractive than AMOLED, though technically AMOLED is superior.
And SL I9003 also has memory card slot for 32GB, so internal memory of 4GB is not much a drawback...

has anyone tried running any benchmark on it? How it scored in tests like AN3D Bench XL, Quadrant, Neocore, GL, Nenamark, egypt, linpack etc... I couldnt find any such tests over net. (almost all search results are for Galaxy S)
Pls let me know so that I can decide as I play lots of games.
Also let me know how much touch inputs are recognized? is it 2,3 or 4?

AnonD-4152, 22 Mar 2011I have been using this phone for the last 10-12 days, ever... morefirst do reset your phone.. then try again. It might work. To reset your phone go to Settings -> Privacy -> Factory data reset -> Reset phone -Erase everything. This did not erase pictures and music on the internal SD card - but it would be a wise to do a backup first.

I have been using this phone for the last 10-12 days,
everything is excellent except the battery life.
today when I connected the phone to Samsung KIES, it showed that a new firmware is available for the phone so I downloded that. it was smooth but after downloading the software completely suddenly a pop up showed that "can not convert to upgrade mode". Repeated the entire process but again the same result. can anyone help me with this?
