Hi. I'm from mumbai... bought this fone on flipkart a week ago. The gps has stopped working... So called up the samsung customer care.. They forwarded the call to the concerned department which happened to be in delhi. The rep couldn't give me any information on the nearest service centre... Also, I was told there can be no extended warranty that can be bought.... Can anyone here help me? How do I fix the gps.. It dead working perfectly earlier and just stopped all of a sudden 2 days ago.. Also, where can I get extended warranty from??

Chiranjeev, 22 Mar 2011Guys i want to know about the battery life of this phone as... moreget an ipod instead for all ur entertainment and cheap nokia mob for ur 1 hr talking. Galaxy sl battery is not made for so heavy usage. Or keep charger in ur backpack. Simple.

Guys i want to know about the battery life of this phone as i hav got a mixed opinioin here. I am a damn music lover. So my usage would b 5hrs of music on headphones, 3hrs of net surfing, 3hrs for apps and games and 1hr of calls. Buyers plz help me out. How much will the battery last for me? Plz answer me.

Aftet using 2 weeks my views are:
Good points:
- excellent browser, so fast loads any heavy page so nicely, flash support is good.
- dvd support, picture quality is great
- camera is good, video quality
- really super clear lcd, great touch feel, never feel need of AMOLED
- less price compare to old
Few negatives:
- audio quality is not up to mark, max volume is very low
- Battery part is realy poor in this phone, consumes a lot. I got some improvement after full cycle and some battery saver applications but not upto mark. I felt that 1650 ma would fine but it doent last more than 24 hr in average use.
Overall good phone in 19k but i would b more happy if i get more battery usage.

I got brown SL before 2 weeks, its looking realy great compare to old black one, back side is changed, doesnt look cheap plastic like old one. Good job samsung.

Hi all,
I am really apprehensive about buying from letsbuy as there are many bad reviews of their services on the internet (eg, long delays in deliveries, refusal to cancel an order). Even their terms and conditions state that they will not cancel an order once processed and they decide when an order is processed!
But still with ICICI coupon, their price is the lowest of all.
Has somebody else had a bad experience with LetsBuy here or these are isolated experiences? Somebody here got their orders without any problems?
Also, their site has the Galaxy S I9000 also mentioned as delivered in 4-7 working days. The price also is very low (about 23.5K after using ICICILB). How come they have it in stock when samsung representatives themselves have repeatedly told me it is discontinued in India?
Any comments?

When you open camera, there you have settings tab...there you can change the default storage of Pics and Videos to SD card (memory card)...enjoy :-)
And about TV out, we dont get the TV out cable out of the box, so we need to but another Data cable for TV out. Yes I have seen SL being used for TV out..but I have not tried yet....But why to use TV out, when we watch videos on 4" screen very close to us..looks great...Watching movies on this device is a treat to eyes, if we use proper formats... hope it helps..

I bought this phone fifteen days ago.I'm facing a strange problem.this phone doesn't support outgoing calls for vodafone. Same sim works fine on other mobiles. I tried other vodafone sims also and I found that I can't make outgoing calls.however sims of other operators works fine.i checked with vodafone also they said there might be phone problem also.is anybody facing same problem in mumbai india?

n is this phone worth a buy since galaxy ... moreits just like a replacement app for home screen.
This phone is completely VFM as hundreds of others already said.
and S II will cost a minum of 33 or 35 k INR.

launcherpro lite is available for free.. few less features like unable to use launcher pro widgets.
there also a bunch of other home screen replacements
