AnonD-3125, 15 Mar 2011Hi tamanna.. if u get to know hw to tfr contacts pls post i... moreOk, I finally figured out a very simple way to transfer contacts from my old Sony Ericsson phone to this one.

1. Go to your contacts in your SE phone -> Advanced settings -> Save to Memory Card.
2. Once the contacts are saved to your Memory Card, transfer it to your machine using Bluetooth or something else.
3. The file to look for when you access your phone via your machine's Bluetooth will be in .vcf format and saved as a business card in a system folder.
4. After that, just use Kies and import this file to your phone.

This oughta do it. Did it for me.

Hope this helps.

    @BB you r welcome!
    @Ansh The galaxy s 9003 has a gorilla glass.The glass is quite tough.But no matter how tough a phone or its screen is You should still consider handling it carefully.
    @I love to argue,
    I'll explain everything to u,In the mobile processors there are two giants one is Arm the other is intel.The arm is ahead of its rival.There are many manufacturers who make processors based on the Arm architecture,for eg texas instruments and qualcomm.Samsung hummingbird is manufactured by intrinsity.The hummingbird chip has a Arm cortex A8 based processor combined with power sgx 540.The Omap chip is manufactured by Texas instruments,it has a processor based on the same Arm-A8 architecture combined with powervr sgx 530.The processors made by Texas instrument has better performance compared to the one found in the hummingbird chip though both r based on the same architecture.Its the gpu department where the hummingbird takes the lead as it has a faster and newer gpu.So in the benchmark tets where both graphic and processor performance is tested,Galaxy s9000 might perform little better,But if u see processor power alone Galaxy s9003 is far ahead.

              Planning to buy this phone within a couple of days. Hope i find it in around 19-19.5K in Pune(Mh).
              Just worried about the fact that none of the official specifications from Samsung mention the Gorilla Glass display and also bluetooth 2.1 instead of 3.0.
              I really am hoping this has a scratch proof display because i am a little careless about my phones. Was planning to get Defy but this phone outperforms defy in hardware, OS version and other features.

                How is the battery life on this? From the review here at GSMarena it says that the Super LCD uses more battery so it has roughly the same battery life as the i9000 Galaxy S. Can anyone confirm this? Or does this phone have a better battery life?

                  AnonD-2880, 13 Mar 2011I'm sure you love to argue, but you have no clue what you'r... moreSorry, but you are the one who has no clue. You are saying TI OMAP 3630 is better than hummingbird ??
                  No way !!! Both are SoCs; OMAP 3630 has an SGX 530 GPU compared to hummingbird which has SGX 540 which gives it a decisive edge over omap. You wanted benchmarks right ?? Here are some.

                  http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/samsungepic4g_090610170208/24599.png

                  As you see hummingbird wins almost everywhere. Besides the benchmark, almost every review site (anandtech.com, engadget, gsmarena) says that hummingbird is the fastest singlecore chipset.

                  Now I would love to see some of your results from your analysis.

                    The best way to transfer apps to SD card is by using a free app called App2SD:
                    http://market.android.com/details?id=mobi.infolife.app2sd

                    To manually move apps to the SD card for I9000 (pls check the below steps for I9003 and reply back):

                    1. Settings > Applications > Manage applications
                    2. Tap on an app to move
                    3. Tap on "Move to SD card" button

                    Hope this helps, and reply with feedback.

                      I am extremely eager to buy this phone. Specs look great and there is a secondary camera too. Primary camera lacks flash though. Any of the users of the phone please comment on the camera quality and whether absence of flash is too big a demerit?

                            finally got it from samsung plaza for 19.5k :)
                            i will try to keep on updating what i found in the phone.
                            few issues:
                            Videos - i am able to play some normal videos onthe phone but not HD / 720p. I thing we need a suitable app for it. Any suggestions?

                            My Ram usage is always around 190 - 220 MB even after clearing memory and all. Is there any way to see which item is using how much of ram.

                            Any general suggestions / app suggestions are welcome.

                            oh yeah this is my 1st android.

                            ftw!!
