Hi guys,
I am from India. You all have made this section really helpful. You all really help others get good deal. thanks. I'll come to the point now. I was waiting for Android based phone that would be around 20k (Indian Rupees) & can provide more features than iPhone. So I had Galaxy S in my mind - thinking that its price would drop to around 22K in some months. But...it didn't. and when they replaced Galaxy S with SL with price of 19k , I decided to buy it.
I have ordered it from letsbuy.com. I think this is currently best deal in market(at least for next 2-3 months). (Thank you all for mentioning ICICI discount coupon (ICICILB) here. It saved 2048 Rs of mine) I have ordered the phone for 18431Rs + Free XMini speakers). I'll probably get it on Monday 14 March.
I have also bought Sandisk 16 GB card (Class 4) from ebay.in (1263 Rs+55 Delivery charges). As per my online research, class 4 card is enough to record HD videos in this mobile. (Although it should be genuine(there are many fake ones).
I'll post review of this phone after I get it. In the mean time let me tell you about Letsbuy & ebay.
I think Letsbuy is trustworthy website. (Because when we click on buy button on Samsung website for this phone, it re-directs to Letsbuy.com website. Its like authorised...I guess). But I doubt there professionalism. I ordered this phone on 5th March. So I should have got it on 9th or at most 10 March(They deliver in 3 working days). But I am yet to get this phone. When I asked they said they had shipped it on 7th & I'll get it on 9 or 10. But when I contacted them on 11th, they said that Phone was not shipped at all due to inventory problems. They promised me that they shipped it on 11 & I'll get it on 12th or 14. I am sure that I'll get this phone but entire bitter expereince has made me doubtful of their Timely delivery commitment :-( .
But again, they are offering best deal in market. So, from my perspective, its better to wait for 2-3 days extra & save 1-2k with their good deal.
Btw, On other hand, I got my 16GB card in flat 2-3 days from ebay seller in Chennai :-)

@summer read my post carefully,I meant that as of now tvout won't function,though future updates might make it work as the hardware supports tvout.And in the future if there is software support for tvout,then it will work through the 3.5mm jack.Its not necessary that all the tvout cables will work.I used a nokia tvout cable earlier when i had the amoled version of handset.

@summer I said that the hardware supports tv-out, but the software doesn't.As of now u cannot use tvout.You won't be able to see the phone's screen on tv,atleast i couldn't,u can give it a try maybe it works for u.In future,maybe after gingerbread update u might get the tv-out support.The

hi all i9003 users..
i have a small question...
after i install apps i move all apps to SD card whch can be moved to SD... and it moves to internal SD (which is part of 4 GB internal memory - 2 on phone + 2 internal SD)... but how do i move all those apps to external SD card ??? i have put a 16 GB memory card..

and ya this is awesome fone... n i'm luvin it.. worth 20k for such decent features...

Flipkart has incorrectly mentioned Android 2.2. They have confirmed it is Android 2.1. These are unused, unrefurbished handsets of Galaxy S (I9003).
All the stores had returned the handsets to Samsung which were unsold after the model was discontined by Samsung. Flipkart has made a deal with them to buy all these from Samsung at cheap rate.

Confirmed. The i9000 that is being sold on Flipkart for 24,499 Rs. is actually refurbished products that were sent in by Samsung. That is why they are running Android 2.2, they were upgraded when being serviced at Samsung.

I got dis phn fr 20000. Text reflow ok. Bt not so gud.pls tell how i use gps. Wen i use map it show location 1300m away. Not acurate. In iphone it show exaxt location. N how i know location of phone number i get call from like its in iphone.any application i need. I use vodafone 3gb pack

The TI OMAP chipset on i9003 may be slightly better than i9000's Hummingbird chipset, but the PowerVR SGX540 on i9000 makes a HUGE difference in making it one of the best gaming phones available.

@summer there is no tvout option in display menu.The phone's hardware supports tvout through 3.5mm jack like in the galaxy s-9000 but as of now there is no tvout.Future update might add the tvout option in the display menu,keep your fingers crossed.Galaxy s will get a minor update in a couple of days followed by gingerbread in the month's end as reported by samsung.
