[deleted post]If all your non-confirmed things get confirms than SL is a good buy than S with 6K difference.
I dont think SLCD is inferior to amoled, its just in our brains.

He said there is no possible way the sets are new, and this is why: i9000 was discontinued, and it was NEVER shipped from the manufacturer pre-loaded with Android 2.2 Froyo. Flipkart is showing that those handsets have 2.2, which is not possible unless they were opened and updated, or sent back to the manufacturer to be REFURBISHED.

Hi,
is there really a 16gb version of this phone? I saw it in stores but only 4gb (2gb internal sd + 1.5gb rom) i think. Im planning to buy one but im not sure if i should hold off till the 16gb version arrives.
Also what does this phone use for location applications? is it GPS or A-GPS?
because A-GPS (assisted GPS is different from the GPS if im not mistaken).
appreciate your inputs guys.

galaxy sl has a lower gpu than original galaxy s but can any1 plz show in a video using the same game the actual difference.searched google "diff b/w sgx 540 vs sgx 530" n found this site

These are left overs from stores, which could not sell them out, so they are offering them at Rs.24999.
GREATEST DEAL IF THESE ARE NEW HANDSETS.

Actually you could be right. Galaxy S (I9000) at flipkart for only Rs.24999 could be for refurbished handsets.
We will come to know about this in a few days.

The key features of Galaxy S (I9000) on the flipkart site mentions:
•Android 2.2 OS , Upgradable To 2.3
•Super AMOLED Display With DNIe
•PowerVR SGX 3D Graphics Engine
•TouchWiz 3.0 UI
These were not available in the discontinued model. Hence, these should be not be refurbished models.
GSMARENA should review this and give their opinion.

This phone does have mobile tracker feature. However, this feature is not supported by samsungdive.com.
You should check with your mobile operator whether they support mobile tracking feature.
I know for sure Dolphin (MTNL) does support mobile tracking for handsets which have this feature.
