Thanks for ur prompt response. I have done that already. but still it does not gimme a reminder automatically. But when i call that particular person on that day i could see small blue icon near his name. I need the reminder to pop up in my phone on the said day. hope u get my question

[deleted post]You need not to Root your phone & your warranty will be safe. Do it at your own Risk. Your phone can turn into a useless brick.
Follow the steps below
1.Download the update package from "http://www.multiupload.com/31S6FGRW7O"
2.Extract the package, Password:"sampro.pl"
3.Download Odin 1.0 or higher (just google it).
4.Stop any antivirus, firewall & Kies in your PC.
5.Run Odin in your PC.
6.Remove the Sim Card & Memory Card (If any) from the phone & perform Factory Reset.
7.(While switched Off)Set your phone to download mode : Press Volume down + OK first, then hold Power button.
8.Connect the phone to PC. After connecting, the ID : COM section in Odin will turn yellow which will mean that all the drivers are installed in your computer and you are now ready to proceed to the next step.
9.In Odin "Auto Reboot" & "F. Reset Time" should be selected & In front of "Dump", "AP RAM" should be shown. DO NOT select the option of “Re Partition”.
10.Now, you will have to click on “PDA” tab in Odin & select the Update Package.
11.Click on Start to flash XXKPQ to phone.
12.Within 3 – 4 minutes, the firmware updation process will be completed and then you need to wait till the device gets rebooted.
13.After the phone started up, press *#1234# and check your PDA,Phone and CSC, everything should end with KPQ
14. Factory reset and enjoy.

hi i just bought i9003 last night. is it better if i upgrade my unit to GB? is there any side effects on my phone afterwards?

Huge improvement in battery life post 2.3.6
2.3.5 was also good (battery life imrovement) but 2.3.6 is just freekin awesome.

I Haven't encountered any problems with the 2.3.5 update I don't know why people here keep in saying that it caused lots of problem! Before GB, the battery only gives me barely a day but after the GB update it gives me 3days of minimal use! How cool is that huh?! Just make sure background data is disabled, just enable it if u have to use the market and disabled it again after you're done with the market. Auto rotation:disabled. It's getting alot faster than before it gave me a high benchmark score higher than nexus & galaxy s. :D

What do you mean by that the phone can be upgra... more"Only" the USB cabel that used to connect the phone to the PC/laptop can be connect during the upgrade process via Kies and using WIFI internet connection..The upgrade cannot be done using USB modem internet(broadband)..Peace :)

I buyed samsung galaxy s i9003 8 days b4,i am having a problem for battery.battery is not giving my phone a perfect backup,still m not using for any purpos accepts a short call but still its power not working problem.
What should i do please help me????????????

Yes, I tried but it failed.
Then I got it from xda forums & it was successful.
You can try the Service Center.
Service Center was not able to update my phone, then I did it myself.
Its the official ROM from Samsung & you just have to Flash the software onto your phone just like in Sevice Center.
I can help you if you want to update it yourself.

Enter the details of the event and you are all set. Note: please read the sync options before you proceed. All calendar items dont get sync with Google/Gmail a/c.

Hi guys I have a galaxy sl from 6 months
I had some problems n I had to give it to the service centre I got d phone some days back n now I have noticed this huge scratch on the screen
considering that I nvr had any accidents with the phone I still cant understand hw this happened
Bt this phone has gorilla glass soo y this scratch

2.3.5 update was creating problems.
Even the service center was unable to update my phone to gingerbread.
Today I flashed my phone with 2.3.6 stock rom from xda using Odin.
It was easy, took only 10mins & working perfect.
Hope this works perfectly in future.
I tried a lot of times through kies but it failed.
Kies is the most worthless software I've seen.

AnonD-33305, 07 Dec 2011I updated sl to 2.3.5 and still it is using more memory and... moresetting> wireless & network > network mode > wcdma or auto mode.
if ur using 3g data plan set wcdma mode but if ur using 3g sim with 2g data plan then auto mode will be perfect.
after changing this, wait for few seconds phone will take time to reconfigure its network. enjoy...
