ann, 05 Aug 2009thanks for the reply Jin, but that was already the setting ... moreHi ann,

I used get that error only if I get a ghost wifi connection. Have you verified the wifi connection by using a different device like a laptop or another handheld? Sometimes, wifi routers are configured in a way that even if you know the encryption key, the router needs to be configured to accept your device's mac address (this is usually done by the people who want extra security). I am thinking that what you probably have there is either a ghost connection or you may need to restore factory settings (hard reset) in your phone (which is really a pain in the @$$ since you'll need to reinstall everything). Doing a hardware-based hard reset though will only reset settings in the phone memory (it will not reset your 8/16GB storage and your MicroSD).

Jin Madera, 05 Aug 2009im done with that eagerness in changing the ani_on and the ... moreHey Jin, I see you're learning to be a cook eh? kakaka! cooking ROMs is nice but it requires a lot of time (which I don't really have) so what I do is just read through modaco or samsung-omnia.org for any cooked ROMs that are good. Though I haven't really tried loading some kasi I am still okay with the performance of my phone. If I need to get it faster or whatever then that's the time i'll try to load cooked ones...or maybe cook one myself. Registry tweaks help in making the UX (User eXperience) a lot better depending on your preference. I haven't used my stylus for a long time now and that is because of the tweaks which makes thing easier like better touch sensitivity, bigger fonts, bigger scrollbars, you can even disable the threaded messaging through the registry...

The dangers are present though..it's like loading a faulty ROM, but there are sure ways on how to restore factory settings even if you cannot boot up.

The registry tweaks are pretty easy if you already have an understanding of the windows registry (pretty much the same with any windows PC). I'll post some nice tweaks as I implement them.

ann, 05 Aug 2009thanks for the reply Jin, but that was already the setting ... moreann can you configure again your wifi....
maybe this one will help you to surf via wifi...
          Setup Wi-Fi on your Omnia

You need to setup your Wi-Fi network before you can use it on your Omnia for surfing the internet.
          Go to

          Main Menu
          Settings
          Connections
          Wi-Fi

          Configure Wireless Network
Click on the Search for Network(Fig 1) and it will search for the Wi-Fi Network within range of the Omnia. After the Access Point(Fig 2) are found, click on your Network Access Point Name.

It will prompt you to configure your Wireless Network. You should see your Access Point Name(Fig 3) in the Network name. Choose The Internet in the drop down box for Connects to: section. Click on Next.

          Configure Network Authentication
In the Authentication(Fig 4) set it to Open in the drop down box. My Network is protected by the WEP Key and therefore I will choose WEP in Data Encryption. If your network is not secured, you will choose Disabled in the Data Encryption.

Ensure the check box for The key is automatically provided is unchecked. You will then be able to enter your WEP Key in the Network Key Box. Choose 1 for the Key index.
For Secure Network, you can only choose WEP Key for security in order for Omnia to use your Wi-Fi Network.
          Click on Next.

You do not need to check the box for
Use IEEE 802.1x network access control
          Click on Finish.

It will connect to your Wi-Fi Network. It will show Connected beside your Access Point Name if successful. You can now start surfing your Omnia using the Wi-Fi Network

I officially did some stupid things with my i900 tinkering with the registry and all. It ended up freezing on soft reset. I asked some help from the omnia forums and got a really good idea to do a hard reset through the hardware buttons. After doing it Everything went smooth. I reinstalled my apps one by one and did the registry tweaks one by one. After a soft reset everything is still fine, it's even faster now.

I think what messed it up for me was when I changed the power on and power off images of the phone :( I'll try changing them again some other time and post my findings here. I prbably have to put smaller sized GIFs

The latest firmware i900DXHH3/DXHH3 has help to resolve a few issues. It resolve the camera unable to switch on due to not enough video memory and prompt you to close applications to free up memory. The camera will now be able to switch on even If you are running 5 or more applications.
The major problem is the battery life of the Omnia as it consume battery at a faster rate. If you have a full charge at 11PM tonight and under normal usage, it will prompt for a recharge the next evening. It can hold charge for 2 days if on standby. The other firmware version of I1 to I3 improve battery life but is not the official release with chinese input function.

                              Omnia Camera unable to Trigger
Many Omnia users has found that they were unable to trigger camera after opening many applications. A error will be generated.
Not Enough Video Memory. Please close other Applications and try again.
You will still not be able to trigger the camera after closing the applications using the Task Manager. The most easiest way to resolve this is to Restart the Samsung Omnia. We will be checking with Samsung why some Omnia users still have this problem even using the latest ROM
