The Omnia is a sleek phone and the touch screen is very cool but the battery is lucky to last a full day and writing a txt on the touch screen is time consuming. The photo quality is great but not as good as the N95 for portraits. Will be passing this phone onto my daughter very soon. This phone is for Media junkies I need to go back to a Smart phone.

Hi,
I have omnia 900i for lat 4 months now and the battery seems to not deliver more than a day with min usage. Just to let you know my wifi and Bluetooth are always off. Can someone help with a solution. The fact is they claim 5.5 to6.5 hrs of talk time however mine doesnt even give 1 hr of talk time. To be precise around 15 to 20p mins of talktime and the battery konks off by 6 pm evening.
Any suggestions??

had the omnia for two months...
all the features are spot on, to make the very best of it i recommend you look up the following software:
spbmobileshell3
s2p audio player
s2v picture viewer
s2u2 screen lock by swipe of screen...
good friends with the iphone are genuinally impressed by it + i think for the money the hardware of the phone for the day to day use just rock!!

go to setting->sistem->memory
main memory, storage.
u can try clear all history and chace on opera or IE.

storage memory critically low. If the storage not increased, other program may not be able to start.
Use File explorer to delete files thant are no longer needed or move some files to a storage card??? But my phone 16gb ler...i check on memory still got 15gh ++. how come this happen?
how to solve it??

Vahid_Italiano_Tabri, 06 May 2009i900 is the best phone in the word is exelent and is drea... morethis phone is great if you try to flash your rom and use it like the HTC TOUCH FLO you can also try to convert ur 6.1 to WINMO6.5 OS and you can combine all the widgets samsung has and the touch flo and the winmo6.5 in one GOOD ROM...i know it sound silly that omnia try to copy the brand but the good thing is you dont have to buy HTC DIAMOND WINMO6.5 you can actually experience it when u found the right ROM for you...

bad choice, 06 May 2009bought this phone for my wife, this phone sucks! cant wait... moreif i were you just get over it wid ur phone...dont blame anymore with omnia itself...i know you can surpass all the flaws omnia have if you know how to experiment with your phone....and if u like the symbian thing no one is ever holding u to buy that virus loving system of yours...go by nokia thats it...

Step 1: Install Application
Step 2: Install Map
Step 3: Install Yellowpages Data
Note: all navfone components will have to be installed to the same memory location. It is preferable that navfone is installed to the memory card.
Step 1 : Install Application
1) Download the Application CAB from this URL. Download From or (File Size: 10.9 MB)
2) Remove the SD card from your device.
3) Insert the SD card into a SD card reader.
4) Copy this file "NAVFone_PPC_Onboard.9012.CAB" into your device SD card
5) Insert this SD card back into your device
6) From your device, click on -> File Explorer ->Storage card ->NAVFone_PPC_Onboard.9012.CAB
7) The installation process will start. Press “Yes” for any security prompt.
8) Device will prompt user on installation path, is importance that user MUST select "\Storage Card", and press "Install".
9) After installation, from your device, click on -> Program -> NavFone PPC icon to start the application.
10) For first time user the application will prompt "Invalid Registration key ".
11) Select a method of activation. Activation via SMS is preferred.
12) Done
Step 2: Install Map

Singapore Map Data or (Size: 24 MB)
Malaysia Map Data or (Size: 55 MB)
2) Remove the SD card from your device.
3) Insert the SD card into a SD card reader.
4) Copy the installers into your device SD card
5) Insert this SD card back into your device
6) From your device, click on -> File Explorer ->Storage card
7) Tap on the individual map installer to start the installation process.
8) Device will prompt user on installation path. It is preferable to install to the memory card. Press "Install" to start the installation process.
9) Done

anyone knows how to bypass the screen lock of wm6.5 actually i forgot the password of my xdaIIs so currently i cant use it anymore i cannot even use the power button because it was broke so no more hard reset option for me...anyone beside hitting hardreset because i cannot sync my xda to my pc due to my forgotten password...anyone thanks in advance...

Since so many folks don't post constructive comments here, maybe mine will help. I've had the Omnia now for 5 months, after making the mistake of buying it to save money over the iPhone.
To say that I'm disappointed would be an understatement. This phone leave so much to be desired, it's almost hard to know where to begin. Battery life for the 1440mAh is awful...if you use it more than very minimally during the day (say for occasional checks of e-mail, tasks etc, maybe a short call or 3, it's dead in a few hours. I have 3 batteries I have to rotate through to get me through the day.
Phone call quality is good, as is the speakerphone. Setting up BT devices is a snap. Screen quality is OK. Pic quality is decent, but not stellar
Two things about this phone drive me bonkers. First, the touch screen sucks - it seems to routinely either be too sensitive or barely works at all, no happy medium, despite repeated recalibrations.
Second, either Verizon, Samsung or MS engineered out some of the very useful functions of WinMobile 5, such as memory management. This phone boasts 8GB on board space, plus solid RAM and ROM, but you cannot alter how the programs and basic storage allocate the space. So, if you are like me and use a medium amount of contacts and tasks, even without saving e-mails you max out the space on the phone WAY too quickly. I don't know who the idiot was that designed it this way, but they should be slapped for being nonsensical.
By comparison to my old Dell Axim, I'm always having this thing freeze because of memory issues. So, as a phone is pretty good, but as a smart phone it is awful. I definitely don't recommend this phone at all.
