Ivan, 04 Mar 2009Hi all How to change the network to 2G instead of 3G?... moreby default the phone only connects to gsm, the 3g is only connected when a data sesion is active, ie using the browser, video call or some online widgets will try to connect, you then simply click the 3g icon at the top of the screen and press disconnect!!

i900 now 3 weeks
it is an unfinished product. GPS hardly works or not at all!
More, worse even is that Samsung does not provide the POMISED tv-out cable. Helpdesk says: "it does not exist, sorry!" They did not even say sorry, btw!!
They advertise with it. Impossible for Samsung to connect their 'special' plug to a wire???
What a lousy service! (better: NO service!) They advertise and do not even apologize for not delivering.
Bad! Very bad! Shame on you Samsung!
Wonder what more surprises will reveal??

First of all I want to put straight that all the rumors about the phone having problems is a lode of rubbish I had to get one for myself, witch I did and its amazing!!!!!!
There is NO PROBLEM WITH THE TOUCH SCREEN!!!!!
When you start the phone only use the touch pen stick to set up the screen, do not use your fingers or you will never get the alignment accurate. And that is why people have been complaining about the touch screen giving problems, because they didn’t set it up properly and they where so inpatient to just turn the phone on that they set it up with their fingers and you will never make your phone accurate like that!!!!
It takes less than 15 minutes to actually open the manual and read through it and you will know everything about the phone. It rely is not that complicated. Unless you are rely clueless then don’t try, the phone dose require a bit of intellect.
The windows mobile dose take time to get used to but you can set up all the menu's wonderfully to make life easy there are so many different ways of setting up the menus, you just have to OPEN YOUR MANUALL!!!! And it will explain very simply how it all works.
You need to turn off unused connections eg: hsdpa wifi gps etc if you want the battery to last long!!!
Now stop listening to all the propaganda and what everyone else says and make up your own mind for once, its those people that are rely doff that are making up these rumors!!!!

Hi there
I was hoping if anyone can shed light on a problem Im having with the Omnia. I have had to send my second Omnia back to my service provider due to the screen not operating on occaision. This normally happens after charging and sometimes on random occasions and the only way to rectify this is by re-setting the phone. Im now have to make a decision on wether to get another Omnia or opt for a different phone namely the nokia N96 or Sony Erickson Xperia. Has anyone experienced this problem and would some one perhaps advise if I should chance a third phone or go for a different phone completely. I must add that besides the obove problem Im impressed with the phone although the full touch screen does take a bit of time to get accustomed to.
