it is a fabulous cell and has every thing u can ask in it, i had some problems with its software but after downloading the updated rom, i had no problems.
the battery life is not very satisfying .when using GPS it drains very fast.
i am thinking of keeping a spar battery with me when traveling

Also I am thinking of buying a Nokia E71. At the moment I have a Omnia. Great phone, but not for me personally. I miss a build-in stylus, handwriting recognition, etc. I am a bit to much dependent on the touch screen. Using a telephone card to call abroad is not easy. Also I do not like the software (Windows mobile 6.1). It is not really handy to work with. Big advantage is that you can find tons of software applications.
So again there is NOTHING wrong with the Omnia, but personally I prefer an other type of phone., e.g. the Nokia E71. I think I will buy it next week.

Hi Boys & Girls,
Question.
I know that Samsung Omnia has GPS built into it but do you have to buy a separate GPS program to install into it. I got my Omnia through Optus here in Australia and it seems they haven't installed/provided GPS voice assisted sotfware as I can't find no gps program at all in the settings.
Does anyone know where I can buy or download GPS software onto Omnia and it it be easy to install also. I've read people in previous messages talking about Germin or Garmin GPS programs, is it free, where can I download it and can i get Australian maps with it.
Any help would be so greatful people.

Pls let me know if the phone - omnia - does not have below problems:
1) can user select some files together and send them via bluetooth? or it can only send one by one?
2) in sending SMS, can user select some contacts together and send them an SMS at once?
3) in messaging, can user creat their desire folders to catogorize their messages?
4)Is it equipped with answering machine like other models of SAMSUNG?
5) not equipped with a QWERTY keyboard, is it easy type SMS and send?

What's the difference between the i900 Omnia & the i908 Omnia? Is the Samsung T*Omina only in Korean?
