Finally,
this is really amazing; even then name OMNIA mean a WISH in Arabic.
I was waiting since 6 months for any new HTC, O2 or I-mate to release a better pocket pc that include all what I m searching for. I found the Sony-Ericson XPERIA on GSM-Arena, and I liked its specifications but it didn’t released here in Lebanon yet :S, so I found OMNIA and I was more than happy and I bought it immediately.
I already have I-mate JAMin and HTC TYTN II, and both of them are very awful concerning with this one.
All what I wished for to find in a device since 3 years till now:
1- Windows Mobile OS.
2- Good Antenna coverage.
3- Receive and make calls without problems even if the device‘s memory is busy with other applications.
4- Light and Slim
5- Good camera with Flash
Here are some problems I had with my old phones:
JAMin: 200 MHz; 108 x 58 x 18.2, 150 g; Big
Antenna coverage: good but still not that great.
Work fine without installing any application, theme, game or Mobile Shell like SPB
Camera: 2.0 MP, you might say I m crazy but this device have the best camera I ever used but in day light, in low light don’t consider to use it due to its slow processor.
TYTN II: 400 MHz; 112 x 59 x 19, 190 g; Big and Heavy
Antenna coverage: awful.
Faster, run heavier applications, and come with a preinstalled cool mobile shell from HTC.
Camera: 3.15 MP, Very bad due to the plastic sheet that “protects” the camera found in the back cover.
Now with my new phone:
OMNIA: 624 MHz; 112 x 56.9 x 12.5, 122 g: Big but slim
Antenna coverage: great.
The 624 MHz allow me to install almost any software.
I didn’t like that much the preinstalled mobile shell so I returned to SPB software.
Camera: 5 MP, image stabilizer, flash; superb.

Been playing with the phone for 5 days now, and the only problem so far is the battery, I have always had Nokias and never had battery problems, but with OMNIA, it lasts one day with normal use, my old Nokia N73 was going for 2-3 days without charging and still had some bars left over. Will upgrade to new ROM and see what hapens. Otherwise, it's a nice phone, just have to get use to WM OS after many years with Symbian OS.

heeeey samsung ur internatinonal company u shouldn't sell ur products required to country..they hve to make one product to all countries not many versions

look at japanese version of omnia! samsung softbank 930sc wvga screen!i was getting blind miself so i had to buy wvga sharp from japan and they are still feeding us with crapy fogy qvga screens outside of those countries,shame

renzschumi, 04 Nov 2008To customize the ringtone of Omnia: main menu ---> setti... moreplacing mp3's in the my documents is a bad idea, as the main memory is only about 100mb. place mp3, on my storage, go to media album, select track, press and hold or go to the menu and there you have the option to set mp3 as ringtone!

The review is pretty much spot on, however, I see that the reviewers phone has a lot more programmes pre-installed than mine!
Perhaps it is the tie in with vodafone UK, or just that the UK market always gets the bum deal, but I definitely am lacking functionality.
Otherwise, a superb review, and a great little phone.
