I noticed my SMSes indicated ONLY THE DATE it was received or sent yesterday (when I first bought it) and ONLY THE TIME it was received or sent today.
I am not sure how I am responsible for this shift.
Anyway, my main question is, how do I see BOTH THE TIME AND DATE of each incoming message? I can see the time and date and even day of the week for each message I sent out...but I am seeing either only the time or date of incoming messages now.
Please shed some light on this if you can, thanks! :)

The dispaly size, good design and camera flash are the advantages of this phone - it is one of the best phones today.
I would buy the next version of this phone if it would have:
1. the querty keyboard
2. Resoultion of 800x480

anonymous, 24 Sep 2008I just got it and used up the battery. when you plug it in... morethe power light, on the top of the phone, goes from red, charging, to green, fully charged.

Leica, 25 Sep 2008I finally bought my Omnia! I need some help though...
FI... moreyour 3 questions...
1) self changing aspect - go to settings, system and then montion sensor.
its worth a look at all the settings while you are there!
for example i turned mine on to "samsung theme 1" and got rid of the touch drag icon stuff it comes set on.
2) i wondered where the ringtones were... and the lack of a "nokia profiles" was annoying. you can download from samsung etc. however uploading mp3s, then going into the folder you can set them as a ringtone i think
3) manuals. mine came with a little orange one, a quickstart one, a cd with the ms one on, and a link to the bigger samsung one online.. none are good enough. just play with it!

With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#
Select 'Preconfiguration'
Enter code *#81230*# and select OK
Select 'Singapore', with the default Operator
Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET
Run update, and all should be well.

I have seen in different sites that show different HSDPA frequencies. Does anyone know whether they really released an American version? Where do I find a supplier?

Is there any free US Map software out there, that can be used with GPS? I dont want data plan so google maps is out of question.

I finally bought my Omnia! I need some help though...
FIRST QUESTION: How do I activate the "turn horizontal for landscape view, turn vertical for portrait view" function?
I suppose it needs to be activated ya? Since it doesn't do that on its own now.
SECOND QUESTION: They are only a couple of ringtones installed for incoming calls and SMS? Am I not looking in the right place in the phone or do I have to download them from somewhere? If so, where do I go? Is it free?
THIRD QUESTION: Where do I go to access an extremely detailed manual for Omnia for step-by-step instructions on each function etc? Perhaps it's just me, but the manual at www.samsungmobile doesn't seem to be of much help. Where else can I look?
I am completely new to smartphone and the Omnia works completely differently from the other Samsung phones i had before...so I am a little bewildered.
I appreciate if you can help me! THANKS!!!
