I bought this phone in singapore and all i can say is brilliant. u do haf the 3.5mm jack but is in the box whr u plug into the proprietary jack of samsung and extend it out.

Btw, do not be let down by 65k colours, its effective but it does show brilliant colours. have your forgotten who is the number 1 LCD maker in the world, it is samsung. They might provide you with 65k colours screen but you are assured with the latest LCD screen and brilliant colours and i can say, there is no different between Omnia and Samsung u700 which has 262k colours. I happen to have both.

READ the Omnia vs Diamond review

as many have said .. the Omnia's screen is low quality in comparison with Diamond and Xperia

no Omnia for me after this review

Useful review from GSMarena, now we desperately need the UK release date. If it is going to be months, may as well get the touch D.

This one is hardware the other is the GUI. This helped me make a concrete decision on buying this phone.

Apologies, perhaps it is 15 fps, (10fps from vlc player's playback statistics). Looks like WM6.1 or Samsung has disabled installation of a few good free plug-ins, eg TCPMP video player (error when starting up)and htchome (today;s screen) menu, which locks up. After installing the latter (which I much prefer), the phone lock up, even after hard reset. I took it to service centre, who mentioned that they will do a firmware update. CSO asks me it also helps to tackle a laggy screen problem..and it is not downloadable online. quote ' never been Samsung's policy..???? Which means the new batches are buggy. After 1-2 hours, the set was fine (no technical reset needed). I asked how I can 'internal-reset/patch' myself in future, CSO says no way.
Tried HTCHome again, likewise locked up. Omnia owners, you are privately requested to upgrade their firmware at the service centres, no charges. Also no announcement on samsung sites.
