phones fan, 06 Apr 2010did you try to upgrade using windows xp or vista,and what w... moremy computer is running vista.
i followed the steps that are posted on modaco.com
i got as far installing using grandprix, it said it had to reboot.
it did that 3 times and then that was all.
now my phone is useless.
is it even fixable? now when i plug it in to my computer it is recognised and instantly disconects its self.

i wanted to update my rom to 6.5.
downloaded and went to instal but instead it froze my phone.
now theres a black screen that says "OMNIA" and thats about it.
any one else have this problem? if so how did you resolve it?

When shooting in a place with music and When you view the Video,The sound becomes bad But the picture is very good why happens like that?

J, 02 Apr 2010Main problem bettarythe original omnia rom is very bad and drains the battery fast ,you have to install a cooked rom from modaco.com

Mich, 28 Mar 2010I've had my Omnia since Aug 2009 and I AM ABSOLUTELY LOVING... morego to the menu -> settings -> connections -> USB Connection Mode, then select the Mass storage option then select My storage from the drop down list... and then press ok... now u can be able to connect ur mobile to pc....

Excellent specs on paper, but the touchscreen quality is very poor. Even you calibrate the screen several times, it is very difficult to use the screen with your fingers.
Additionaly, the screen is not visible in sunlight, even you max up the backlight.
This phone with an iphone quality screen would be a winner. Unfortunately I have no confidence on current Samsung touchscreens...

ihad this phone bout a year now and i am disappointed.i used this as a modem and it doesnt last long.would take 6to8 hours long for the battery even if itis charging,not like nokia or htc's can last even if u leave them all night long connected in the internet.and its not finger friendly as a touchsreen.and the screen its not scratchless like iphone or new nokia phones.and the software and games for windows ppc is just few.and i compare the 5mpxl of nokia n95 with this i900, the photos of omnia just like 2mpxl or 3 of nokias. my wife has iphone, my bros have htcs,i'ved had nokias and now i hav this crap.i hope this could help...

Mich, 28 Mar 2010I've had my Omnia since Aug 2009 and I AM ABSOLUTELY LOVING... moreYou have use internet sharing device. Go to
Main Menu > Favourite Setting > All setting > Conntection > connections > Add new modem. Now configure your operator internet setting. You must be selected Cellular Line"Gprs".
After setting go to Main Menu> Program > Select Internet sharing > Press Connect. When display will show as Check USB cable, connect your device with PC by Data cable.
Now you are connected internet in PC.
