Jin Madera, 26 Dec 2009yo set im planning to buy omnia2 then it confuse me with 3g... moreAgain..sorry for late replying..
Yes you must convert it to watch the video in iPhone,as far as i've tried AVI formats can't be played.
No,you can't watch youtube directly from safari, but you'll be directed to a built-in youtube App.if you touch a link for video, where you can rate and post comments on video there, and no flash support for iPhone :(
Still digging in this video stuffs,so i'll let you know if i came up with something good.

Jin Madera, 31 Dec 2009hey hey hey to all people who recently buy the omnia dont r... moreHi Jin it's me..!!!
Merry Christmas and happy new year for you bro.
I just read your post in the "other" side, but i read that one first than coming here second so just forget the "other" post side okay?
Too bad i'm late in finding your post there, and you have your answer already, that "funkyto" guy already answered your question, and yes what the guy said is true,as for 3gp i haven't tried one yet,but the MP4 quality is great,i'm using any DVD converter for iPod.
I'd suggest you choose iPhone 3G / 3Gs,it's a lot powerful in browsing and more storage than 2g,but less in battery life for 3G?
BTW there's a camcorder app.for iPhone now available in App.store for iPhone 2G & 3G,so 3G is a bit on par with 3Gs in terms of video recording.
And yes you're right Jin,the 1st time i used omnia i found nothing but troubles crawling inside the phone, then i started reading your posts, old and new posts and i finally get rid the troubles away, when i sold my omnia even the buyer were surprised as my omnia could outperformed n97 in any ways..!!!
That's thanks to you Jin & Shadrach,so once again it's a smartphone and need a smart way to handle it,but the most painful thing is it's complicated to be smart in omnia, but then again it's a smartphone, isn't it?
3 months-Ex user of i900..

I bought the Samsung Omnia from my service provider on December 7th, 2009. I played around with it for a while, but the accelerometer wasn't working. I was told to do a hard reset, which fixed the accelerometer, but after that, the phone began to lag a large amount, even when no programs were running. I returned it and got a second Omnia, which the browser repeatedly crashed on, not helped by the useless hard resets. I got a THIRD Omnia which had the same error, until a hard reset, but by then the messed up my plan so I just returned it and am going to a feature phone. I have nothing against Samsung, I just don't think they worked all the bugs out of this before marketing it. My mother has the same phone and it has no problems. It's just not dependable. It has great features, but I was afraid it would break again and I didn't like the touch screen, which seemed unresponsive at times. It gets very hot while browsing, and battery life is poor. It wasn't easy to text on, though I liked the ui. Overall it is a nice phone with plenty of features, but not one you can depend on. It feels like it needs to be in a cushioned case at all times. I would go with a more durable device.

Does anyone know whether the latest software update is available thru the net for the Samsung i900 Omnia? Looks like they've forgotten about this once top of the line touchscreen phone. Even Windows 7 is only available for the latest Omnia HD phone.
