AnonD-88124, 01 May 2013first, i tried to update it through kies. but in my windows... morereally guys who always wants to downgrade to GB dont know alot abt JB its much more better and every new update might have problems btw dont forget that s advance has only 768 ram and only 300mb for user on GB so u must know that it might lag because JB eats more ram than GBfor sure

How did u upd... morefirst, i tried to update it through kies. but in my windows 8, it's giving an error. so, i went to the service centre. they updated it for me.
games are neither laggy nor smooth. i mean previously in GB, games lag occasionally, whenever we experience lags we can easily fix it by clearing ram or by locking and unlocking. after this in GB, Games run smooth for me. but now in JB, games are not at all lagging.but this doesn't mean they r running smooth. i am experiencing some intermittent jerks in every game. i prefer GB for games.
phone, contacts, call log almost take 2 to 3secs to open for the first time. after this, they open fast 'cause they are left open. once you clear ram, it will take 2-3 sec again to open phone,... cause they r closed.
i will definitely go back to gb for sure. i am gonna ask service centre guys tomorrow about downgrade.
i did a factory reset before and after updating. (i exported my contacts to sd card and used astro file manager to back up apps before performing a reset)

How did u update it? through Kies / Odin ??Is factory reset is needed or not?
Is it laggy while playing HD games or any damn lag in Contacts opening?(Some people reported it here)
and What about the battery life after JB update and is there any heating problem? Network problem solved or not?

Gyes when i am connecting my sgsa a new firmware popup is coming.after pressing ok it downloads the firmware but after 100%download nothing happens to my mob .
I hav connected a photon plus in another port.

whats the region code of your sgsa firmware?? i mean the laat three words in bracket?? If its Indian, It should be (INU).. If its INU, then jus connect ur cell to kies with active internet connection preferably wi-fi or broadband.. Then, kies will automatically shows The new firmware is available. and a upgrade pop-up will come. & make sure that no other gatgets (cellphone. pendrive. hdd.) is connected to ur pc usb port...
