its much bettr if u flash u r s advance using odin.
yesterday I flashed it by using odin... its awesme

tell me the last 3digits of ur firmware, which is under round bracket ().. just like mine is (AUT) which means my phone firmware is for switzerland region & i cant update my phone to jb untill switzerland region jb firmware is launched.. got it.? better u wait for official update. check for ur firmware region by connecting to kies. goto http://samsung-updates.com/

Yesterday I updated my phone to JB thru Kies...but, after update I am having considerably much more lag while playing games like Temple Run and also sometimes it hangs off and gets reboot...Plz someone share your experience if u r facing same or suggest me some fixes

hey guys I purchased GT-I9070 from UAE. & Iam in India now & using cellphone in India only. Since JB update is not available On The Air (OTA). I connected my phone to kies for upgrading to jellybean. Kies shows the latest firmware version is already installed "LK2/PHONE:LK2/CSC:LT1(AUT)". & from kies when i went for Tools>Firmware upgrade and initialization>GT-I9070. Kies says your device does not support initialization. what should i do? please reply.. please help me out.. how can i upgrade my S Advance to Official JB.? please help. if possible mail me on "abdul.mannu@gmail.com"

Also i went to the samsung service center and they told me that since u had updated ur gsa with russian firmware earlier so now it is not possiblr to update it with indian jb version.
Can anybody help. Pse reply.

my question is,... moreDont worry about it bro.
You wont lose anything stored in USB storage.
Data stored in 2 GB system storage for apps will be lost.
Export the contacts to SD card first. U can find that option in Contacts.
Use Astro file manager to back up all of your apps.
But,I dont have any idea about saved game data.

But if you update via Odin then everything will be wiped out. In that case you can use backup apps like Titanium.

I am trying to update the firmware of Galaxy Advance through Kies. Its showing that new firmware is available. When clicked on upgrade, it downloads to 100% and then gives message that ""Failed to run firmware upgrade, Unknown error occurred". Tried everything, updated kies, turned off firewalls, tried on other PC, cant updated to JB. Please help somebody

This update is lolypop. This is not perfect update why samsung. Overall its ok its better then neither
