Nice phone. I have it since last year. It is worth buying and if you update the software it's much faster. Exceptional smartphone.

there is still no update to 4.0 in israel. samaung mobile in israel have told me that they even don't know when it will be avaliable :(

Sammy maintained their promise. When u got update definitely it was very stable update. If u dnt have patience then flash update manually but don't blame sammy

Transfer this file to the external SDcard of your device.Switch off the device and enter it into Recovery Mode by pressingVolume Down, Volume Upand Powerbuttons simultaneously.*.Now navigate to‘install update from external SDcard’ ->>choose zip from SDcard’.*.Here, define the file that you wish to install, which is, of course, the Root zip file that you downloaded in the very first step.*.Highlight the Root zip file in the selection list, and then press thePowerbutton to confirm your selection.*.The rooting process will complete in a few minutes. Once it is done, you need to reboot your Galaxy S Advance I9070. For this, go to recovery main menu and select the‘reboot system now’.*.Your phone will restart now. U have rooted phone now
2)flashing siri rc4:
-Download file from this link

-extract it with android zip manager any where in sd card
you will find two files.-> I9070_CWM_FLASHABLE_SIRI_KERNEL_rc-4.zip (This zip is a CWM/TWRP Flashable zip)-> I9070_SIRI_KERNEL_rc-4.bin.md5 (This is flashable via dd method or frapetis app)
- Download frapetis kernel flashing app from this link

Install it then open it select ' kernel image' and then select only I9070_SIRI_KERNEL_rc-4.bin.md5 file not cwm file from where u extracted these file
Then select flash> select reboot thats it after reboot go to settings > device>see kernel info it will show siri rc4
3) flashing crossbreeder :

this handset is very good.i haven't any problem yet.i am using this phone since 6 months.it has very good inbuilt memory.so we can install much applications.it is a very good mobile phone in low budget.sony will not give you 16gb inbuilt memory in this range.display is very good.heavy games are running smoothly.yes,no zoom in camera is minus point but allover it is a very good mobile phon.

any problem with ... morePlease dont buy this crappy phone, My phone always drops signal and i miss important calls, it shut down automatically. I have given it to service center and after keeping it for 28 days with them i am not happy with the results, signals are still dropping but they come back.
Wifi is very weak, it shows no connection quite often where other phone are working.Bluetooh also has problems. Indeed crappy product by Samsung, they are cheating.

and i alys put my phone in last low brightnes,30 sec screan light,though it drain in 3 to 4 hour on 3g. . . Wid sme music play while playin game,and bit intrnet . . Is it normal or my btry is faulty ,should i go for replacing it, :(

and another qestion am not sure about the actual battery backup,plz elaborate briefly how many hour we can get frm dis phn if we play hd games for 2,3hour ,3g intrnet .n lil music, in my case it takes 3hr nly to fully drain the battery,bt only 2g net,2hour game play,cntinus music for 2 to 3 hrs ,it takes 7 to 8 hours for fully drain the battery . . . Am i geting actual bkup,?or less?or you guys r getting bit more bkup,plz maintnd those usages while takin abt b bkup ,on standby mode it takes too lng to drain ,even mre than 3 dys after being fully chargd on 2g mode

i dont know why my phone automaticly unlocking ,spcly when i listen music,in head phone,and while my phone in my pocket sngs r changing automaticly,freqently wid d slap of my thies . . .and when i left it on standby its automaticly popup wid light . . . Its nt like unlocking,its on d stage if we press power key to unlock,d fast stage,abt whum i am taking,just before draging finger to unlock,i instld go launcher,and tried wid tw launcher aswell,but its arise in both those . . . Why its happening ?i dnt have any idea,if any 1 cn help and faces this issue plz help me wid a guide apart from reseting my phone . .help asap :(
