Very Good news for advance users!! samsung has finally announced that it will roll out jelly bean for galaxy s advance all around the world on 29th feb 2013, it's confirmed by samsung korea. thanks!!!

I flashed XXLQ4 in sheer frustration, couldn't wait any longer...no regrets, though I don't find my phone to be that smooth.
Battery is not an issue..96% since last charge at 3.30 am today.(Flight mode on)

WOW!!!!! Just did it. upgraded to Android 4.1.2 JB. I think all went well except mobile data access that seem to have an issue. I'll check it out with my Network provider first before drawing any conclusion...

Hi guys. I have decided not to wait for update since its taking forever. I have downloaded the firmware as zip but upon extracting I get two files; one which is about 735mb and a Dll file 1.59mb. I have read the installation instructions and run Odin3 already. Do i need to place the two files in Odin or just one of the files. See quoted below one of the steps in Odin
"In Odin put the extracted firmware under PDA and click on Start.."

Wanted to let you al... morethe q4 version actually has more probs than the previous versions.. i guess..
abt not being able to transfer, i faced the same prob...
the in usb mass storage mode, the transfer just freezes..
for smoother transitions, use force gpu rendering and keep max processes to 1..
and first only battery life is bad, if u do force gpu rendering, it ll drain crzily.. so thts a prob...

Wanted to let you all know that I have flashed JB XXLQ4 yesterday and so far so good..
1) Only strange thing I noticed is that, when I turn on the MASS USB storage mode, and copy files from my PC to phone, it takes FOREVER; however it's not the case if I connect it directly without turning on the USB mode.(still takes a lot of time unlike GB)..
2) No project Butter at all, the app drawer and the home screen transition are not as smooth as they were expected (may be with future updates they would).
3)Battery drains pretty quickly whle surfing/WIFI, even on 2G....however no battery drain when Flight Mode is on(saw 1% drop over the period of 7 hours.)
