yesterday I received an 18 mb update. I have noticed the following changes....
1. touch scrolling changes.
2. loud speaker has become louder.
3. I am still with gingerbread but my flash player 11 is gone and it is not available in the play store as well.
I WANT FLASH PLAYER BACK. does anyone know how to get it back??? Thanks in advance....

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2013doooooooonnnnntttttt buy.... network isssue with the phone.... moreguys if ur on gb in india, there are supposed to b two ota files for s advance.. one of them is supposed to solve the network prob.. i dont remember which one.

and if u have a 16gb model then i suggest u not to update to jb, bcoz u cant go back to gb after tht..

i like jb considering that we have been waiting for such a long time.. but it cud have been better. hopefully the indian update will have different features, and i wish they wud have released 4.2.1 version for us.

battery drains v fast. and even on the latest update, the cell gets hung, which can only b resolved by resarting the phone.
project butter is decent. i mean i found gingerbread smooth as this too.
i was really disappointed to find out tht there is no usb otg support with this and even no tv out.
so basically only changes are, certain games are smoother, but if u play for long cell gets heated up.
the ui looks better and there are many motion control options.
and then there is notification bar changes..
its better to wait for a update to b released in india which mite b in march.

just received an 18 mb update from samsung. first update since i bought s advance 7 months ago. dosent look like it has changed anything except the scroll up-down effect. still 2.3.6 :p

JELLY BEAN
I've just updated to jelly bean.(the russian version,then i set to english) i couldn't wait for the update in my country.
but im not really impressed.its smoother ,faster.and the battery last a lil bit longer.and easier to use.
and finally theres digital zoom in the camera.its useless..when i take a picture when i zoom it makes the pictures washed out and faded.
i dont know a good application to update into jelly.
so you can wait..not a big deal...

Hi Dean161, could you please tell me what are the real advantages of JB over GB? All the apps and games I have installed on my SGSA run absolutely fine now. I am from India (on Vodafone) but have not faced network issues even once in the last 4 months in spite of always keeping my network in dual mode. The few apps that dont run on GB like Chrome Browser/Nova Launcher - I can live without. And the Project Butter thing, I presume, is only largely cosmetic that drains RAM/GPU considerably. Also, from what I've read of it, I dont thing I'll need "Google Now" in a 100 years. Given this scenario, should I upgrade?
