so, how to take screenshot on this phone? Here is the trick
press and hold home button
then, directly press power button
as simple as that
and, this phone cannot zoom in its camera
you can take a photo, and crop it

I had heard about it's network issues but didn't face any,before couple of days back,people were trying to call me but just couldn't get thru,the calls which landed on my phone were not clear,like breaking voices and got disconnected.Now every time when i unlock my screen to use it always show "network error please check the network".

In fact I normally never switch off the phone unless some problem. But this has never happened with my earlier phones... in fact my other phone, an xperia mini, is a very stable device and has never had any sigal / call related issues.
Interestingly, yesterday I shared this problem with a friend whi has an S2... and the same problem is there too! So is this a Samsung "global" issue?! Anyways, I'm planning to call flipkart customer care if the problem persists - they have a 30 day return policy.

yesterday my s advance get hanged and a message " kernel panic" displayed on the screen.i restarted the phone by pressing the power key.also the phone sometimes get switched off automatically.
now the phone is working normally.
sir, what is this "kernel panic"??is this due to any hardware problems????what should i do??...is anybody is here having the same problem??... please replay me.

Prits, 14 Nov 2012The reason for which i think there is a network problem for... moreSolution for the network problem .... go to settings...then wireless and networks..... Then mobile networks ..... Then select network mode and change it to "gsm only" instead of "gsm\wcdma" ... After this restart your phone and you're network problem is fixed now ;-)

Do you charge the battery while phone is ON or you charge while phone is OFF? Becouse I noticed when I charge with the phone ON i sometimes experience the problems that u do too but that that often as you said. So i advise you to charge it while it is OFF and if you cant do that at least restart the phone after charging is complete. By the way, if i use my phone too much without restarting it on a regular basis, i will also face bug like sound volume going to minimum or maximum by itself...like its possesed and it wont stop untill i restart the phone.

here in specification .gsmarena mention ..about os is upgradable to 4.1 but their is not yet decleared..this is the future prospective ...not confirmed yet. many of consumer may got wrong preception about both GSMarena & product.
