The reason for which i think there is a network problem for this model is that....only when i deactivate the data network mode the cell loses its signal not simultaneously but after sumtym..this can be checked frm the battery usage graph..n also sumtym we cannot complete a call even there is full tower...i think its a dirty hack implemented by samsung due to the various complaints it received due to signal loss...even if there is no signal the cell show full signal...this is my first and last samsung...it really sucks

Hi all ! Got my s-advance thru flipkart last week, and I'm enjoying my first samsung device after using sonys for the past few years. Some pluses for this device which I've felt so far are - excellent build quality, good battery, smooth touchscreen, very good video and youtube playback, good wifi connectivity, audio and camera. I'm not a gamer so can't comment on that.
Hoever, there is one issue of concern, and I need your advice/help. Sometimes, I cannot make or receive calls. It shows full signal bars and good signal strength, but "E" symbol in status bar is missing. When you try to call someone, the "keypad" icon remains inactive, it will show "dialing", but nothing happens. If others try to call me during this time, they get a message "this number is not available at the moment". The only way to solve the problem is to restart the phone. This has happened 5 times in my 6 days of usage. I checked for any software updates, but none are available as it is an October manufactured device.

i used n8 for twoo years and sold it for 9k and purchased advance for 20k im happy with this phone im missing only sound out put of n8 which im not getting in any other phone..that was awsome quality which i cant get in android phone rest wverthing is vguud

Jelly Bean please! Other companies are starting to roll out Jelly Bean for midrange to low end devices. I also like the TouchWiz Nature UX by Samsung.

Hi all... got this phone 5 days back from flipkart. Build quality, screen clarity, battery backup, music, video playback are superb. Call quality is also good.
I am only having one issue with this phone. On three occasions, there is a sort of call proble, I won't call it a network issue becos it shows full signal and in settings also, the signal strength is always more 60 dbm. But on these three occasions, I could not make any call - it shows "dialing" on the screen, but the "keypad" button remains inactive, and nothing happens. Others who tried to contact me got a message like "this phone is not available at the moment...". Only way to start the problem is to restart it.
Guys, is this the network problem so many people complain about? I'm feeling so bad about it... any way to solve this issue? My set is October 2012 manufactured and no software updates are available so far...

I'm from Estonia. Wikipedia and GSMArena says that samsung galaxy s advance can upgrade to 4.1 jelly bean. if the 4.1 jelly bean upgrade is available, then where is it? Samsung kies dont have Jelly bean update available for galaxy s advance. So when jelly bean will roll out to samsung galaxy s advance gt-i9070p

I... morei don't know what 'notification led light' is... but yeah, you can make folders. you get delivery reports. and there is something called 'voice talk' that works like siri. its powered by vlingo

... moreI think you should get S3 OR Galaxy note 1/Note 2 if SAMSUNG is your choice.
There are also SONY and HUAWEI with better phones...
It is up to u 2 make decision...
p.s: I think u can afford those high end phone since u can buy iphone 5. iphone price in my place is very high than all those android- base high end phones.
