Hi, Recently I bought new Galaxy S advance phone and used for 4 days and returned to the show room as there is a network issue. They sent to Samsung service center and they also agreed that all these sets have the issue. Same day from the show room they gave me different piece, that is yesterday. Again today I am facing the network problem.
Please check while buying this as network goes and never comes back so, you have to restart the mobile.

KanD, in Romania this phone comes with a SD card slot, and i don`t have any issue with this phone

Have been using this phone since 2 months now. Amazing phone, great camera clarity. RAM speed is also good. Overall very happy with the performance of the phone

I've this device for almost 2 months now and have never faced any network issue, apart from lagging when the ram is consumed by applications....but this really doesn't bother me. But to make you aware...a friend of mine has just bought this device 2 days back and is facing a network problem every time he answers/ends a call. Not sure whether its something to do with the HARDware or SOFTware...Hope samsng comes up with a fix ...then not all a bad device though. This could be one of the reasons why we saw a fall in the price in a span of 1 month 23k - 19k...rumors say Samsung has withdrawn the supply of these devices for a temporary period considering the customer feedbacks...Changing the mobile network from CDMA/GSM to only GSM has helped some...but for my friend it hasn't worked.

1. 4 GB is sufficient for 300 songs but as the phone has the ability to shoot 720p videos, you would need more but here comes the biggest problem, NO MICRO SD CARD SLOT (now that's a hell of a problem). So i would not suggest you to buy this one coz in the long run the lack of Micro SD card slot will surely make you suffer.
2. I'm not sure about this but maybe it would affect some space.
3. First of all as you mentioned that you would store around 300 songs and even click pictures and capture videos so from where will you get the amount of space needed for other applications. This is a really big issue, no Micro SD slot means a very big drawback nowadays.
4. Upgrading to the latest OS means having many new features, bug fixes, new and cool interface, smoother UI, smoother transitions, etc. So getting the latest update is really important. Updating can be done directly through the phone, just download the update if its available and install it and you are good to go.
5. I didn't get your point, V2.0 or did you mean 2.3.6, this is what the Samsung Galaxy S Advance has and if you are talking about it then no its not that much of a disadvantage. If you are using Android for the 1st time then you would surely love Gingerbread (2.3.x) but getting the 4.0 ICS upgrade would be an icing on the cake,i.e, it would make the phone more advanced and user friendly and way too smooth.
And according to me, buying the Xperia U is not a good option, the lack of expandable memory is a big drawback. So if you want a good phone then go for the S Advance or if you don't like this one (maybe coz of its look) then you can go for either the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S or the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V. Both are good in terms of specs, looks, and many other features and even they are now upgradable to Android 4.0 ICS but they still lack the power of the S Advance coz both these phones have a Single core processor and an older Adreno 205 GPU which stands nowhere when compared to the S Advance so i would strictly suggest going for the S Advance or the LG Optimus 2X, else its upto you.

I have samsung galaxy advance for like 2 months,great phone.The only problem i got with him is some times i dont revice all the sms from lets say 20 sms 1 dont recive its a bit wird but not that disturbing but rest is perfect phone if you are looking for playing and browsing.I use it all day with Wi-fi or my own internet on, i play on him like 3-4 hourse per day and battery its like 1 day and half.Its not best in photo but i aint a big fan of makeing photos with phone.From my point this is no mid rage phone its more high phone(maybe 1GB ram wold had made him high rage).Btw dont get Xperia P insted of this the battery if you use it full like on Advance in 8 hourse its over!

It takes 3-4 hours to get completely charged.. Is dis a normal behaviour or is there any problem.. Because previously i was using nokia x6 and within 1 and half hours it will be charged to 100%..

For every Screen time out and automatic lock, i m losing internet connection.. The data session is getting closed if it is idle..
