MHL Supported by Sony Toshiba Nokia Silicon Image & Samsung with the SGS II being the first mobile phone
to have it from what I gather this would mean (JUST A GUESS OK) that the SGS II has a double HML connector WITH a HDMI adaptor supplied. just because the HML is a new feature and NOT on H/W.
I would expect shortly after HML-HDMI adaptors and HDMI-HML adapator to be sold as products get shipped with HML ports as standard

[deleted post]I would say take a chill pill but SGS II & no HDMI really upset u slightly didums. Is is just me or was the SGS I only released in JUNE 2010 8 months ago. Some people in the real world are still under contract, which means that they may miss the SGS I and go straight to SGS II.
now I know Nokia or Samsung LG are not responsible for this invention, I like to call them "other things." stuff you do needs BESIDE your mobile, say just a wild guess laptop with HDMI? so you are not totally reliant on the phone. To some the SGS II will be a major upgrade but hey if the deal breaker was the HDMI. I guess samsung are wrong calling it the "Galaxy" and not including ports used in THIS Galaxy.
FYI THE PHONE IS NOT RELEASED YET.
                      Anybody here called Samsung???

i wish they can add a couple of things will make this phone on top:

1- dual led flash ( instead of one )

                          2- active noise cancellation.

                          3-increase battery power.

Just those, will increase the sales of this phone more and more.

AnonD-698, 21 Feb 2011yes nokia have completely lost in the battle field of smart... moreditto, nokia devices are reliable, they can make some good phones, but i dont understand what the heck were they doing since 2007..they made two major mistakes, first, OPK's descision of staying away from touchscreen race, 2nd, Elop's descision of sleeping with microsoft and dumping symbian and meego...symbian is a good power efficient os but they dint even bothered to improve the UI, had they done the thing 2 years back, they dont even need to jump for wp7...symbian was their identity, and nokia is a wh0re just like samsung, se and htc lol!! and if i need to choose among wh0res i will defintely go for the most experienced one, who can give me maximum pleasure...lmaoooo..:D

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2011all batteries of samsung are patetic. what happened in the ... morei assume you are talking about battery performance of low end samsung handsets...if you had an idea about android, wp7 and bada devices, you may not have posted the comment...till now sgs has best battery backup among high end androids and omnia7 among wp7s...and if you are comparing it with nokias, let me explain this for you, its illogical...nokia and samsung have different os, different way of approach(samoled, dual core), and definitely 1ghz processor is more power hungry than 600 mhz one, i guess u got what i mean, the choice is yours...in addition recent crops of nokia handsets have poor battery life, im not pointing at specs list, im talking about real life experience...if you dont believe, you can check out nokia c6-01 reviews...

                                      cheers!!!
