A phones success not only lies on the specifications but also on the correct pricing....at the end of the day its about the bang for the buck.....the reduction in costs only depends upon the phones success in market(ex.nokia 5800 exp music)...but now a days the manufactures don give enuf time for a product to be fully tested and certified as succesful...they just keep pushin forward with new technology and don support the already sold ones(generally discontinued),which results in absurd pricing of the every new lauch(to subsidise the r&d)....this goes to all the brands....i shud appreciate nokia for this reason..since they are reliable(less symbian :( ...)....with this trend v shud expect a smart phone of the future(say quad core/12 mp/3d/4g/blah/blah) would be costing nothing less than 1500 $/1000 pounds/70000 INR.....does any 1 agree with me or am i the only one feeling this??...........:(

I think that the Galaxy did have decent life though. I also think they could get better batteries than they do. I think the most simple fix though is everyone should start using lithium polymer batteries for better battery life, more capacity, and less room used.

SGS2 will blow other phones out of the water when it is released. I mean just read the specification for the phone. I think it's going to be another winner from Samsung - BTW I don't have shares in Samsung nor do I work for them, therefore, the compliments are based on experience of SGS1 which I have had since it came out and can see how the new version will be much better. As for the iPhone 4 - we must appreciate it's due to popularity it is seen as a good phone and not because it has functionality that other phones don't. Samsung easily has more functionality... I look forward to SGS2.

i just dont get it that if a galaxy s2 is just a rip off ip4 and ppl will mock it as one....than iphone4 in theory should be the way more popular than this SGS2.....but wait a min....what is this??.......the SGS2 is the most popular phone on gsmarena and ip4 never managed to do that???.....lol...now thats funny and tells u who the real winner is. Samsung Galaxy S2!!

Only today I got to know that there might be a successor to the Galaxy S, a phone that I've owned for about 6 months now, and reasonably happy with it.

But I had been looking out to get the LG Optimus 2x or 3D, when they are released. But with almost the same specs on this one from Samsung, I think I might stick to the brand. So ppl, any idea when the shops in UK will get these?

samsung u really have put ur self on top of the mobile world lately and with the s2 in pipe line it only gets better.

Bryan, 15 Feb 2011Video calling can mean either calling over 3G or wifi. So w... morere video call. The information is from the SG1 manual The SG1 has 3G video call whereas the IP4 only has facetime over a wifi connection. So with the SG2 coming with 2MP camera i would assume it keeps the full 3G video calling as wifi means you are piggybacking. Not owning an SG1 and going to SG2 I am not speaking from experiance. So if you have an SG1 help please thanks.

please again unless each company develops its own unique design then there are bound to be similarities so please let up.

yes this phone only had 27% daily interest now 92% MWC 14/02/11. its not going to drop to 50% with these specs NO WAY.
so as you can see negative posts. ABHI same post yesterday as today and the phone is not even released. just show some good manners and post in your forum. we get it you don't like the phone o.k.
ABHI u r not very bright though the link you posted SG2 came 3rd beaten by 2 phones both not released yet!
help me out here again that would mean SG2 is ahead of
                                      phones already released

nokia should recently improve their mobile feature.sorry to say nokia ur camera still poor when sony e has a strong camera and video recorder.sound still bad now.when it’s dolby digital.graphics and menu view also need improvement.
