i am having this device, and this is the most great device i have ever used. As i was worried about lollipop update. But via here: https://www.androidpixel.com/2015/01/cyanogenmod-12-5-0-2-samsung-galaxy-s2-gt-i9100.html
I updated my phone to android lollipop and now it works like charm

The s3 doesn't even have kitkat update so there is no chance this will have the lollipop update unless you use a rom like Slim L Pop

I installed Cyanogen Mod 12 (Lollipop 5.02) and it work very ok, it's very smooth and nice.

I can upgrad kitkat. ... moreYes, if you install Cynamogen Mod 11 instead of the original ROM from Samsung.It´ll run really nice and smooth but you must to root the device.
There are a lot of information in the internet about it.

I am using galaxy s2 from more than 1years and it is 1.75 Years old. I have no issue with this. All defualts apps are good except few.

My new galaxy s2 won't download apps. Anyone have any solutions?
