2- Move all your photos and videos from the internal memory to external or save them in your computer , to free up enough space for the memory ...

Can someone help me with this.
Under Settings/Storage, l have this:
Device memory
Total space
1.97GB
Applications
278MB
Available
34.95
USB storage
Total space
11.50GB
Applications
1.97MB
Audio
32.00KB
Available
11.50GB
SD card
Total space
14.71GB
Available
7.90GB
Now my question is how can l download applications onto the SD card since the device memory available of 34.95 DOES NOT allow me to download anything further;since any attempt to download shows this message " insufficient storage available".
Meanwhile l have so much space of 7.90GB on my SD card. Any solution.

Tuzi, 02 Feb 2015I have been using S2 for just over 2 years, it's been brill... moretry to reset the phone ( format ) or flash a new android official 4.1.2 ... also buy a new battery (high quality)

My Galaxy S2 is awesome and fun. But...I have to replace it about every 9 months. That is frustrating. And...the only way to replace it is with a reconditioned model which means it has been fixed after someone else sent it back, and most likely will never work for more than 9 months. Most likely, as phone prices come down, I will upgrade to an S3.

I have been using S2 for just over 2 years, it's been brilliant until last week. I took the battery out while the phone is on to reset my voicemail, and put the battery back on 30 secs later. But noticed that the screen of the phone all turned into PINK, the battery bar used to be green, but now orange colour :( Other functions are all fine, such as making phone call, sending text, wifi,,,
Any idea what's going on here? or anyone bumped into this situation before? I am now looking for a new phone, since this one is still working part from display is awful. So really cant decide whether should I change to a new model or not.

this phone is very smart,im using galaxy S II since 2012,as of now its still my partner,very clear screen,very fast in browsing both data or wifi connection,untill now 2015,ive'd no plan to replace my galaxy S II.

@johnny, one likely reason for that behaviour is a broken battery, does not help even you have USB charging connected.

i am having this device, and this is the most great device i have ever used. As i was worried about lollipop update. But via here: https://www.androidpixel.com/2015/01/cyanogenmod-12-5-0-2-samsung-galaxy-s2-gt-i9100.html
I updated my phone to android lollipop and now it works like charm

The s3 doesn't even have kitkat update so there is no chance this will have the lollipop update unless you use a rom like Slim L Pop

I installed Cyanogen Mod 12 (Lollipop 5.02) and it work very ok, it's very smooth and nice.
