The screen keeps on having a visible yellow tint on its left side.
Actually, I can't say it's any worse.
The OS is different and I like it better like this, but hardware problems sure haven't disappeared.
Just try pointing the camera at a white wall/paper/background.
BTW, Samsung has also refused to exchange my phone.
Also had it "repaired" under warranty, but no visible improvements. The standard, "That's normal. All phones do that" reply. Shameful.

The S2 is easier to use with one hand which makes it a better phone; also when it comes to custom Roms I feel that there are more developers customizing the S2.If you're going to be doing allot of web surfing or you need the pen that comes with the Note then I suggest going for the Note.Either way they're both great devices.

hey cc, I know what you mean I'm having the same problem with the program saying 'your device does not support software up grading via kies' exactly but guess no one know's how to sort it or fix it, would be nice if they did :-/

If I root my S2, will it solve the battery Issues? Coz my phone battery only last a couple of hours. Im using my s2 for about 2 months now, and I learned that if I root my fone it will void my warranty so Im thinking of rooting it next year. Anyone who can answer my query?!

Of course your device is not showing 1Gb of RAM its because of the compression rate of the disk. Same thing happens with your computer harddisk or basically anything that falls within the definition of disk.

where is ics? been waiting on kies and all it says is 'updated to latest software' the most worrying bit is it says 'your device does not support software up grading via kies' on the basic information page... HELP!!!!!! please someone anyone?

Root your phone, install 'adfree' from Play shop, also install Titanium Backup then delete an app called 'adserver'. You could also freeze bloatwares (software that constantly hogging your RAM like AP News and software update)
You would notice a significant improvements on battery performance later on.

Actually ICS isn't meant to s... moreI have i9100 , had the yellow tint prob, updated to 2.3.6 KL1, yellow tint disappeared, overheating solved by 70-80%, battery backup now 8:30 am - 9:00 pm, with constant use ...:-)
Not sure whether ics brings back all these probs/bugs ... If that is the case , better I stick to 2.3.6

Awesome mobile just i found problem is all related to battery it stains quickly mainly stay upto 8 hours. i have checked update for ICS still its showing no update via Kies and OTA both i am from India can anyone tell in india when it will be launched ICS for S II
