How do i upgrade the firmware to 2.3.6? Kies only shows 2.3.4 as the latest for some reason

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2011thats it my network provider is 3G and H+Check your mobile network setting, network mode is set to Auto mode.
Check the network coverage maybe it is low.
Maybe the area you are in only broadcast 2G?

adjust the brightness to full it will fix your problem, clearly you dont know android if you dont know how to change display settings

love this phone. stated off with 2.3.3, later update with norwegian version 2.3.5, today updated with 2.3.6 nothin much visible difference from 2.3.5 but the battery backup is lot better as comapred to 2.3.3 in both 2.3.5 and 2.3.6 version. for update dont use kies. rather download odin.and update thru that

AnonD-35900, 31 Dec 2011fed up. more then 4 days after 2.3.6 update made available... moreI was facing the same problem with kies. after trying and failing several times, went to service center yesterday. the lady at reception desk did not know that a new update was released. after 5 min of trying to convince her, one of the technicians heard us talking and confirmed that the update was available. he said that even they were not able to download it. i took his no and called him today and he said they had finally managed to download the files. i got it updated today evening and am typing this from the phone itself. suggest u do the same. do remember to carry ur bill with u if u decide to go to the service center.

Greetings to everybody on this forum. Some of the reviews on this phone claim that the super amoled plus screen remains clearly visible in broad daylight. Unfortunately i am yet to experience such visiblity, and i'm wondering if the settings need some tweaking to enable me achieve that. A friend of mine has ip***e 4s and i notice that it is so clear in broad daylight. Can anybody show me which settings give the best visibility in broad daylight? Thanks in advance. :-)

fed up.
more then 4 days after 2.3.6 update made available, but it is not on my phone yet. kies is terrible, it gets stuck on 2nd phase, waited more over arround for 2hrs, but zero progress in it. went to samsung, and they said its not officially available for service center and its not downloaded in their computers.
waited for more than 4 months since bought the phone and now its like cant wait to get it on the phone. feels like 2.3.3 is way backward.
