Ashok, 28 Dec 2011Upgrade is curently running on my SGSII. Twice I have abort... moreHow much time do you waited for the 2nd step? I kept my phone for complete 30minuts but no progress atall. I use 1mbps Internet connection which is enough fast I guess.

HI. im from Philippines. i have sgs2 made in vietnam and I just successfully upgraded my phone from 2.3.3 to 2.3.6... It works like a charm. im one of the members of the lucky group.. And still gonna examine this further for any changes esp the battery life. cheers!

Hi guys I need your help ASAP I'm from south africa but I'm going to be buying this phone in india from the "mobilestore"..hope its unlocked for my south african sim,but anyway I need to know about the updating of the software via kies is it going to matter that I bought the phone in india..but using it in SA will I be able to do my updates??

pls donot buy this mobile..as it frequently stuck up saying msg as "SD card removed unexpectedly"went to service center..no solutions..often mobile network not showing up..battery back up so bad..advantages are android,touch and UI..rest waste..donot waste money in this..

Hi,
Whats the point of update 2.3.6 without gtalk video chat ?, which is major feature of 2.3.4.
One more point to say confidently that samsung development team is much lazy or either not capable.
I am Galaxy S GT - I9000 user from mumbai using 4.0.3 and enjoying gtalk video chat.

guys, i am from India, and i am not able to upgrade my phone. after connecting to kies, pop ups a msg notifying about the new firmware version, but after hitting the update, it 1st it download firmware update components and on next step, it bet stuck at preparing for firmware update. looks like it get stuck in to an infinite loop. kindly help. firmware update progress never come up.
that's annoying. OTA would have be a better option

only problem is it radiates heat in ample of amount.it is just because of it's very slim body which accommodates a powerful dual core processor. it butterly runs every thing. and only phone which can compete with it is Galaxy nexus (and even note, but its to large to be a phone)

guys, i am from India, my update stucks in 2nd step, i.e. "preparing to firmware update" followed after collection of updation tools or something (the first step).
is there any solution? any other legal way to upgrade? ota is unavailable too.
any help will be appreciable.

bro 2day i update my firmmware XWKL1 via odin..after dat when i coonet my s2 via kies dn saying—your device does not suuport software via kies y ny idea???

I am from the Philippines, and I have just updated my G... morei also notice this glitch and its annoying tbh, i also did 3 factory resets after the update juist to clear things up but unfortunately w/o success, other than the dsktop stutter(not as bad as you think but i have eyes for details so its there) everything is good..
